Showed up as a first time donor. After watching the intro video I was told to sit in new donor waiting area. When I arrived there was already 3 gentleman ahead of me. TWO HOURS later, they still had not taken back a single new donor. NOT ONE. All 3 gentleman who some even arrived hours before me, still were waiting. There was little to zero line the entirety of my time in the office. When I tried to ask a staff member how long she think it might take. She was so dismissive and rude. I stopped coming to this place because new donor or old. Line or no line at all, you will be an average of 3 hours before anyone even attempts to help you. And when they finally do, they will treat you like less then human.

Place sucks I get it it’s not there fault we’re broke and have to donate once or twice but that doesn’t mean for these people to take there time they move so slow and very unprofessional 3 people sitting down at vital stations while 2 people were upfront waiting to be seen and then they had so many beds open with a bunch of people waiting and they had more than enough staff do not go here unless you don’t have any other plans for the day take yourself somewhere where they will get you in and out

Only 1 employee is on the floor actually helping people donate while the 4 upfront just rush through their tests and just end up making a huge line. No time management. Been here over 2 hrs and still standing in line while I watch empty beds and lazy employees

GO TO THE ONE ON CENTRAL IN DOWNTOWN WICHITA. yesterday was my second time ever donating, i went to the downtown wichita location for my first time and they were wonderful but i cant say the same for this location. At the centeral location, all the staff is trained properly, is clean and generally able to do their job with no monitoring. Here, i saw people wiping or blowing their noses and not changing their gloves and half of the staff couldnt even give a proper needle stick! They put a bright green wristband on my left arm to show i couldnt donate out of that arm due to a bruise, i had no idea what the wristband met so the guy on the donor floor stuck my left arm. I was there donating for about 35 minutes before two other workers notice and stopped the donation and began moving the needle around WHILE STILL IN MY ARM. They were not cautious at all and would just yank on the tube connected to the needle which hurt. They then took the needle out finally and stuck me in the other arm to return the red blood cells then ended up changing their minds 2 minutes later and once again removed the needle very carelessly and had me drink a Gatorade and wait 15 minutes before leaving. I felt exhausted the rest of the day which sucked because i had prom which i really wanted to enjoy without being tired. I cant complain too much since i still got my money, but if youd prefer both your money and an arm without a very painful and gross looking bruise, go to the one on centeral.

Every time I go here I have a pleasant experience. Staff is incredibly clean & thorough, I feel very safe at this location. Only downside is wait time, and that a lot of people like to chat in line but you can put your earbuds in and they’ll leave you alone. They aren’t rude or anything I’m just introverted.

Don’t know what changed in the last six months used to be a great donation center but I don’t know if they changed management or what. I lapsed because of a life , so I was considered a new donor again, and had to go through the new donor process waited two hours my first time I went in to get told that their system was down and they had could not except me then the second time I go back, I get deferred for a small cut on my finger that is clearly closed, after sitting again for about an hour, don’t know what changed but I highly recommend go to Octapharma.

Went in at open to find out I cannot donate until seeing nurse fixed it in literally 1 min. Was told go straight to the back of line which I would’ve been understanding if they would’ve been nice about it. Had a line at open so went an hour before hand just to wait in front of line and when mentioned we’ll we don’t open at 6 we open at 7. like yes I read the hours online that’s why I tried to get here early because I know how long the line is. Oh you can be deferred because you need to drink more water like I haven’t been doing that. Very disrespectful front staff back staff is maxing and always in a great mood but the front people are so rude it’s ridiculous.
