Well I hope other first time blood donors prepare better than I did! I thought I was dying after I got up and put my coat on LOL-I didn’t hydrate or eat enough sugar before donating. I did drink OJ there before I gave but I needed to guzzle a Coca Cola during the time I could barely get enough oxygen and they had to prop up my feet-my hearing was also going. I guess the hydration wasn’t good and they said my blood sugar dropped-I love sugary stuff so idk why that would’ve happened. Make sure you eat right and indulge in sweets and hydrate-the day before and the day of! The staff knows exactly what they’re doing-they’ll take great care of you! My daughter and I went and Amanda Curran was there so we got to meet her too!

I just relocated from Bakersfield, CA and was in search of a comparable blood bank to the one I’ve been going to for 25 years. I found this place and I am very happy that I did. The staff was friendly. My plebo did a great job. I will be back!!

Such nice people! Make you feel very welcome and comfortable. I’ve had blood drawn from nurses at doctor offices & they are never able to find a vein, I leave with numerous sticks. She found it in seconds & it was painless! Great people
