Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center is a community-based blood bank that provides life-saving blood products to patients throughout Cape Fear Valley Health system. The center is located at 3357 Village Drive, and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors of all blood types are needed and welcome.

Great people! They take their time with you and make sure you have an amazing experience while donating. I had NeeNee for the first time today 8-8-23; she was very nice, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable while donating blood. I didn’t even feel the needle go in! Cece and Marilin were wonderful! They were so friendly and gentle as they took my son and I through the blood donation process. Then they loaded us with whatever they could give us in gratitude. We were really just there to help our community, but they made blood donation an experience. We also loved Cece’s passion about doing what we can to keep the blood in our community rather than donating to a place that is going to sell the blood to hospitals and others in need. We’ve got in on our calendar to go back in 8 weeks!

Ty and Marilyn worked the benefits fair @ Hoke this week and encouraged me to try donating again. Last time my veins weren’t the best to donate on the mobile van so I gave up after that and didn’t want to waste their time/my time. They were very informative and great to talk to about incentives and the process. If you are a CFV employee, you will receive 2hrs PTO, use as a clinical ladder activity, and also will receive “credits” to put on your bills or someone you know that’s admitted to help their financial burden if they require blood transfusion. Idk if the public gets the “blood credits” as well.
