I had an appointment today at the blood drive at Leander Church of Christ and it couldn’t have gone any better! Everyone was so kind and welcoming and made me feel well taken care of. David did my blood draw and lead me through every step. A sweet lady (did not catch her name) thanked me for coming and donating while continuing to check in on me. I am grateful for this experience and it made giving blood that much greater! Thank you!

Have donated blood in the mobile truck several (6?) times. All have been 4.5 star experience. I just have one request. I want my Phlebotomists to look the part. Appearance makes the donor feel more confident in the person with that needle. Clean scrubs top and bottom OR long sterile white lab coat. Not blue jeans and certainly no blue bandana around the head. That did not give me confidence. Yes, I’m old.

No issues with the donation of blood. The issues arrive afterwards. They are relentless with sending text messages for me to return, When you block the number, they send it from a different one. Very unprofessional and annoying.

You, yes you, can make a difference. And it won’t cost you a dime. We Are Blood, on North Lamar, reminds you of this. From the COVID safe check in process, thru the COVID safe health check, everyone is very kind and friendly. The donation room is COVID safe as well (dividers between chairs). Phlebotomists are not sadists; they listen to your concerns and information you know about your body (TMI: my primary vein moves, so I remind them, and they are able to adjust their approach). Austin needs blood and platelet donors. If you’ve read this far, please consider calling and becoming a donor. Oh–almost forgot–free cookies and juice when you’re done. What more could you ask for?

I went to donate blood today in Bastrop and was told my BP was high (145/102). I found this very odd has its NEVER been this high and I get blood work done once a quarter. So i waited 10min to be told after less than 10sec it was “the same”. and I was not able to donate. So I left and drove to my docs office 3min away to have to checked to then find out it was ONLY 121/69. clearly something was NOT right in the bus! YOU might try getting them digital BM monitor. Oh and the 40question survey is ONLY good the same day you give blood and make sure to take a mask or they will not let you in the bus. I will not be going back VERY DISAPPOINTED

I had a negative experience here and would recommend just going to a physical building to donate. The girl doing my screening was unpleasant. The space on the bus was really tight and uncomfortable. They kept asking me the same questions over and over again. I had just worked out and so my temperature was up and they kicked me out without any kind of explanation. I highly recommend going elsewhere.
