I brought my 16-year-old daughter here who was excited to donate for the first time! The tech seemed new and inexperienced. She blamed my daughter for having small veins for the reason she had to dig around in her arm. Then when the blood slowed she dug around more. When it stopped flowing she again blamed my daughter saying her vein collapsed (no, you went through it darlin’). She stopped the donation and didn’t explain what happened to my daughter, only that it was because of her veins that it didn’t work. When I asked questions she was unable to give any answers. Hours later and her arm hurts so badly she can’t bend it. This was supposed to be positive experience, but it turned out to be anything but. The tech should have sought a more experienced person to help as this was clearly a challenge for her. We will not return to the Schaumburg location ever.

This is first time i donated blood here in this location and had the worst experience i ever had. i never go to this location again. its been ten days i donate blood here still i had little bit of pain on my left hand vein. i got bruise immediately after donation. when i googled for the reason it says thats due to the opening on the vein is not proper which internal bleeding happened on small nerve and blood vessels. i think the staff here should have proper training.

I am a seasoned donor and am very proud of this, but my last experience with lifesource was entirely unpleasant. I came exactly 5 minutes late to my appointment, which i take the blame for, however apparently they close 10 minutes after the appointment. I have no idea why an appointment would be scheduled so close to closing. The workers were very unpleasant and nearly kicked me out for my slight tardiness. However, one let me donate and began to screen me. During which, they had to call in to check an antibiotic I am on for acne. One nurse wanted to call while the other wanted to outright deny me the ability to donate, and continued trying to do so over several other medications/vaccination clearings. Once I was finally hooked up, the workers continued to make snarky remarks about how they’d love to go home soon which only made me feel unwanted. Once it was done and I could leave, they did not thank me and instead left me with a “come earlier next time!” remark. After this experience, I am definitely taking my free blood donations to another more gracious organization.

This was my third and final trip to this location. They lost my information as well as my my prescription to remove blood twice. Both times I was talked to in a condescending manner, there was no tact. This last time I was contacted by Lifesource after they received my prescription for the second time and they set up the appointment for me over the phone. When I arrived and checked in, it was as if they had no idea who I was and they couldn’t even find my prescription or file and the appointment was not made with the correct department. They made it seem as if it was my fault when in fact they called me. I would much rather drive further away then have to deal with these unorganized group of individuals. This is supposed to be a professional establishment I would never trust them with my body, EVER!

Staffs are inviting and knowledgeable enough to assist you. If you have an scheduled appointment you can be in and out in the time you expect. Not too crowded, being said that it’s all by appointment.
