Staff is rude and unprofessional. The nicest person was the guy at the desk at the door. When I was called back staff member did not introduce herself and basically didn’t talk to me unless asking a question. When they were going to poke my finger all she said was do you prefer middle or ring finger. As I’m in healthcare I know somewhat about the process. So I can only imagine what it’s like to someone who has never had this done. Then she needed someone else to come in and explain something and they talked about me right in front of me instead of just talking to me. Then they told me I was deferred for dumb reasons. So I will not be coming back here and was told bad things about this place, but only after the fact. Could’ve saved myself some time and not come at all. Will donate somewhere else.

Haven’t been here yet. I need to donate blood and/or platelets due to high hematocrit levels. (54.4) I’m a senior (64) and need to stay healthy for my hard ranch work at 7,800 ft elevation. My VA doctor recommended this procedure to avoid other issues. Otherwise I’m quite healthy for an old geezer! Lol! Will there be any problems with what I described?

Very nice experience! I donated towards the end of their hours on Sunday. Mel was awesome and answered every question I had.

Went today and it was a good experience. The tech has 13 years experience and made things quick and easy. I dislike needles and it was a whole blood donation so a larger needle was used. He was accurate, quick and had his ritual down very well. Made it easy on me and I appreciate that.

Had an appointment today to donate whole blood. Was deferred due to 100F temperature. Not even a fever by medical definition. I had just eaten a hot sandwich literally 1 minute before walking in. I am a nurse and advised the inake personnel to please wait 20 mins before taking the again, everyone in Healthcare should know this. If I had drank ice water and took temp immediately after, you know this also is not accurate clinical data. If I had known you do an oral temp I wouldn’t have eaten that right beofre. It’s ironic we are told to keep hydrated and load up on nutritious eats, yet you do an oral temperature witout the alternate tympanic or temporal thermometers. I think your staff need to be trained more on how to take an accurate temperature before deferring patients. As you know there is preparation in donating blood, so thanks for wasting my time so now I have to sign up again. 2 star only due to the customer service who understood my concerns and escalated to corporate.
