The lady that took my vital signs before drawing blood was the friendliest lady I’ve ever met. Had a great experience there. It is my 4th time donating blood and my 1st time donating at Vitalant so I can safely say 4th time’s a charm. Typically having the needle drawn out from the skin is what hurts me the most but it didn’t hurt at all this time! Maybe it’s because the lady had a great hand or because of the plastic tube she used to take it out. (As you can see in the photo) Whatever she did was awesome, and I am definitely coming back for some painless blood donations next month.

I was a regular donor UNTIL my last visit when I was told my 4yr young daughter was unable to be in the screening room with me. I’ve donated in a public area with nothing but a room divider between myself and a group of random strangers and the donor bus with other donors sitting less than five feet away while I’m being screened. I’m so disappointed in the fact I was turned away because of my own child. I’ve asked to be taken off the call list because of it. My medical information is free to those who I choose to share it with. If I can have my daughter with me at a Dr.’s visit then this should be no different.
