Drove 30 minutes across town to donate blood and was 5-minutes late – and they told me they couldn’t perform the blood donation because it was too close to closing. My appointment was at 2:45PM and I got there at 2:50PM. If they can’t take their last appointment 5 minutes late, they should stop taking appointments at 2:30 not 2:45. Waste of time.

Unfortunately, I’ve had two bad experiences here including both rude employees and significant wait times despite advanced/confirmed appointments. I’ll be looking for a more convenient and friendly option. It’s a shame! I work in healthcare and there’s no much need but Vitalant needs to meet donors at least half way.

soo ive been coming here for YEARS i get the pins and show up every 8 weeks cause i donate whole blood and i have never been soooo insulted by the ladies in the front Brunette heavier set lady and the old lady with short hair that said she wouldnt stay open even one min after 730 to take a donation after the made us wait and then 20 min later tell us my son wasnt able to donate. sooo even tho u messed up when checking us in and realized it late ur going to now tell us with no time to go home and get the id after we raced her to get here before we closed????.. like you do know your taking blood for people who are dying… find a new job u horrible horrible misserable people!!!!!!!

I come to this vitalant everytime I donate, and the staff are simply wonderful. I’ve got a strange history with donation, from having irregular, inconsistent, and low iron levels, to not being able to stop bleeding after donating, to a couple of near fainting spells.

I had an appointment at 1:45 today what is the point of having an appointment if people are not going to respect it? So they said they were going to be 30 minutes late I said OK and they were 30 minutes late but then they locked me in a Room for an additional 30 minutes. When they finally came to get me I was on the phone telling my wife that I was going to be dramatically late because they had not upheld their appointment. The person that came to get me was so appalled that I was on the phone that they shut the door and went into the next Room to get somebody else. I walked out of the Room and ask what’s the problem and they spoke of their offence that I was on the phone with a no phone policy durring business.
