Im currently on testosterone therapy which raised my hemocrit levels so I need to donate blood every so often. My TRT clinic will draw my blood but they have to dispose of it because they arent a donation center. My clinic talked me into going to Valiant, the only donation center in town, because I have O negative blood which is needed, and I was basically wasting it. I have been there twice, and turned away twice. First time was because I had a wisdom tooth pulled the day before and they wouldnt take my blood because I was recovering from “surgery.” The second time was because my heart rate was 110 and they wouldnt take blood if my heart rate was over 100. More likely because it was 30 minutes before they closed.

Unable to contact my local donation center directly, Vitalant is dropping the ball for someone that is stating they are critically low on supply. I would like to call the location and make an appointment, I’m not interested in making accounts online and getting calls from Vitalant.
