Trying to donate blood here is like trying to boil the ocean. Nowhere online are their lunch hours posted, but two weeks in a row I walk in to donate and both times I’m informed they are at lunch. Today I asked if their lunch hours were posted anywhere and she said, “the door.” Thanks, that helps absolutely nobody.

Been donating here for a couple of years now. The staff used to be great but service has been going down hill as of late. For donating my blood for free, the staff should be more kind and not be short or rude. Today I was even told I was not allowed to wear my sunglasses indoors and that it was against policy. I’ve literally worn them every time I’ve been here before. I mentioned my eyes are sensitive to light, then the lady said it was okay to wear them. I was even questioned if my mask was appropriate which is an N95 mask but for people with long beards. Plus the lady was standing over me the whole time I was donating blood. It was a very uncomfortable experience.

They have the most inconvenient hours! The entire office closes for lunch from 1:00-2:30 on weekdays. They close for lunch from 11:00-12:30 on weekends. Why don’t they split the staff so it’s not closed for an hour and a half everyday?! They are closed on Fridays and some days won’t even do simple whole blood donations. I’ve gotten turned away several times now because they were only doing specific donations. The receptionist suggested that I call before coming in to see if they will do the whole blood donations. When you call it takes forever to get through the automatic system and to a receptionist at thIs location. All around it is very inconvenient since I try to donate whole blood every 8-10 weeks. Also, making an appointment online doesn’t mean they’ll do the type of donation you planned to give once you get there. The funny part is how I’m constantly receiving calls and emails asking for donations, yet they make it so difficult. Vitalant, please fix your schedule!

I usually donate blood here whenever they call and tell me I’m eligible. Right now it’s basically like the gym in January, everyone is going in because they are stuck at home. The problem is, I made an appointment for 11:45. At 12:15 there were still 5 people ahead of me. I understand that they’re busy with walk-ins but why make an appointment if you have to wait an hour to be seen? I’m keeping my blood now.

The staff was nice but this was the very first time I have ever donated blood. I felt fine afterwards so I didn’t think anything of it. They never once informed me that I needed to eat or drink something after giving blood regardless if I felt good or not. They also didn’t mention that I should sit in there lobby for a few minutes before driving. I immediately left and drove to a gas station. While pumping gas I felt light headed, nauseated, weak and like I was about to pass out. I’m thankful I wasn’t still driving but I still needed to figure out how I was going to get home. I sat down in my car and had no energy. I continuously felt weak and like I was going to faint. Thankfully I had a bottle of water I forced down which helped me to begin to feel better. I finally made it home but with nervousness and caution. I will never trust this company again. I am now looking for a reliable place to donate since I have COVID antibodies.

I’d give you a 5 star if your closed for lunch hours WERE POSTED on your goggle maps page. In other words , when you Google Map your location it just says hours of operation from 10 to 7 on Wednesday without including the hour and half your for lunch. No one minds that you take a lunch, but you if you show up there and you’re closed it’s frustrating. Closed from 1 to 2:30 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Should be Corrected on your Google page. In addition, as I tried to sign up to your webpage to be able to login, it asks for a mandatory birth date. But when you click on it it gives you the month you are currently in. Without an option to type it in manually I had to scroll by each month from today March 10th 2021 all the way to 1967. When I got the 1975 it kicked me out and made me start over so I stopped. Also when I tried to reset my password 2 days ago and today also, I never received the reset to my email. These are just some of the things you might want to correct Mr. Vitalant

Scheduled an appointment with their front receptionist after I had issues donating the first day. Showed up to appointment where the other front receptionist rudely informed me I wasn’t on their schedule. Then had the nerve to ask if I wanted to reschedule. Obviously they don’t know how to schedule in the first place. Will not be returning.

Been going here for a few years. Never had any trouble, staff friendly and professional. Always slightly different each time, I don’t expect things to be perfect every time. Will continue to patronise this establishment as it’s more about saving lives than minor inconveniences.
