Everyone is nice. Sometimes a worker jabs and misses the arm vein or sticks the needle in too far. 75% of the time it’s fine. My only real chop I have on Vitalent is that they call every day multiple times to schedule appointments.

I understand everyone has a bad day now and then, but when there is critical blood supply shortage and Vitalant is asking you to donate on a holiday weekend, I would expect a show of appreciation for my blood donation.

Amazing Staff at this facility!! I’ve been going for a few years, but more frequently, due to the staff, the past 7 months. Certainly hope they are acknowledged for this. They truly deserve recognition, especially during these unfortunate times!!

Terrible facility. I was referred to Vitalant by The American Red Cross after testing positive for the COVID-19 antibody. I made an appointment to donate COVID plasma after waiting the required 56 days after my whole blood donation with Red Cross. I arrived 10 minutes early, signed in, and waited while no one acknowledged my presence. After 15 minutes someone finally came and asked my name and then promptly commented, “see what happens when you’re late, you’ve already been marked as a no show”. Not a great way to start my appointment! During the interview process they refused to acknowledge my COVID positive antibody test from the Red Cross and would only allow me to donate regular plasma or whole blood. I opted for plasma so I wouldn’t have to wait as long to donate COVID plasma. The employee who started my donation had no idea what she was doing. She had all sorts of trouble with the chair, the equipment, and couldn’t find my vein. Another employee had to come over to stick the needle and told her she had mismarked where my vein was. Fast forward a month and I made another appointment after testing positive again for the COVID antibodies. This time they blew my vein! Since they were not able to return my blood to me, I have to wait another 56 days to try again. I’ve wasted several hours of my time trying to help those suffering from COVID but thanks to Vitalant, my antibodies are going to waste. I will never go to this facility again!

Love the local staff and that’s what keeps me going back (most are from the LifeSource acquisition)….. Not Impressed at all by Vitalant as a company though….To many communications over confirmation, then using strong words like “it CRITCAL you keep your appointment”…yes, it’s critical for your profits, not for me directly. I want to help others and I know there is always a blood shortage, thats why I donate, not because it’s critical to your bottom line…… Would suggest something like “We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow” or “Thanks for making an appointment, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow”
