The staff was very nice to me! I’ve donated at two different Vitalant locations and at both, the staff were professional, friendly, personable, and welcoming. Having kind staff is very important for something, like donating blood, that can make people nervous even if they’ve done it before. The staff answered all of my questions and were never upset with my curiosity about the process. Even though I wasn’t able to donate a full pint (due to me not drinking enough water that morning, not the fault of the staff) everyone was still thankful that I came in. Will definitely come back!

I have given both blood and platelets with Vitalant in the past, but this was my first time at this location. I unfortunately had a reaction during my donation procedure, and Denise and the rest of the staff were amazing in comforting me and getting me back on my feet. I have a very curious nature, and they answered all of my questions about what happened. They are obviously very knowledgeable about their craft and care for the people that find their ways to their donation chairs. I will definitely be back!

This establishment is great. I called to make an appointment, came and they got me checked in (I did a screening questionnaire using my mobile phone). The staff were really friendly. Also, it was my first time donating so my body went through a shock response at the end (which is fairly normal from what I gather) and the nurses were right there helping me and I got through it in a few minutes. I would definitely recommend this place. It was clean and comfortable.

Well, let’s just say that my experience yesterday was…less than stellar. The employee who did my intake was rude, and bragged to her coworker about how she “beat her intake record” while I was within ear shot. She walked away from me multiple times without saying a word. Her coworker complained about having to do intake for donors. Their supervisor came across as condescending. While I understand things can go wrong when donating, I’ve never been spoken to the way I was yesterday after they were only able to take half a donation. I’ve had good experiences at this location before, but yesterdays was terrible.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, this was my first donation at this location and they made me feel very safe and welcome. The young lady from Glenview took great care of me, much love to the staff, excellent movie choice and snack selection.

I did a platelet donation on Jan 28 2017. The facility was great, and everyone on the staff was very friendly and 100% professional. My nurse, Denise, was terrific–in addition to being really nice, she also was very informative. The donation was simultaneously no-nonsense AND friendly: they got me in and out in an efficient way, but there was never a moment when I felt like I was being treated like a nameless patient on an assembly line. That’s the perfect mix! I don’t normally write reviews, but I wanted to counter-balance the couple of less positive reviews that this location has received in the past. Don’t let those reviews deter you from scheduling your donation today!

The staff here is so nice and always tries to make sure you’re comfortable. I had Denise for my platelet donation and she was the best! She was super informative too and filled me in on what different things on the machine were and what the parts of my blood would be used for. I will keep donating here and I hope this encourages other people to give it a shot too. Giving blood helps save lives and Vitalant makes the process easy and smooth. I have never had an issue with donating through them!
