First time in years to donate… used to donate a lot, then travel and living oveseas I fell out of the habit. thanks to a friend who mentioned she was donating that afternoon, I called, made an appointment about the same time and, as quick as that, I was squeezing the sponge square and pumping it out….. Very comfy donation reclining couches, well organized, nice and quiet and relaxing way to spend 20 minutes. Once you register online, it’s easy to book ahead and fill out your on the day of health questionnaire online. Way easier and more convenient that it was way back in grad school in the 1980s! Besides, it’s the only time I drink apple juice and eat either an Oreo or a Chips Ahoy cookie. Yum.

I donate here 6 times a year for whole blood. The staff here is competent and have always hit my hard to find veins with little pain. Drink a lot of water before you come so your veins will be easier to find. I like all the tasty snacks they have here!

I was treated so poorly when I went that I felt violated. I was left on the double red blood cell machine long after it was clearly beeping that the procedure was finished. I was not thanked, not apologized to and not happy. I am O-. I won’t go back.
