5:00 appointment, left at 5:25 as I had not been checked in yet. Not sure why appointment times don’t seem to matter. Things would’ve been closer to on schedule if they were courteous of others time. Don’t spend 40 minutes checking one person in when you have three waiting. Please be respectful as we are trying to do the right thing and donate!

I have given blood a couple of times before but this center was the best experience so far. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The whole process was super quick, from the paper work for first time donors at this location, they took me straight into checking my blood quality and questions to the actual donation chair. After the 15 minute wait period was up, I left and checked my phone, it had been 1 hour and 10 minutes. They were super quick but very thorough. I would highly recommend this location.

Been donating here since I was 18. Its always a great experience. Some people do it to save lives. I just want the cookies and apple juice at the end. Lol! Really nice and clean place. Give blood, save lives.

Well this place doesn’t care about people’s health and don’t care about scheduling people in to donate. Also this place doesn’t care when people donate because I left this place last time with my arm bruised and black and blue. Well I will be contacting the better business bureau about this place and people here. Well I guess American red cross I will start going to for blood donation. Michigan Blood doesn’t deserve to be in business anymore. Well I guess I will be filing a complaint on Michigan Blood behalf of not letting people come to donate blood or anything like that. Yes I made a complaint with the better business bureau on behalf of this business and not connecting with me like they said.

The experience of donating blood was not a problem for me. The needles do not bother me. The ridiculous wait is what bothered me.

I applaud everyone who gives blood and the people who work here. You probably don’t want to give your real number though, because they are even more relentless than Nandor (the Relentless). I’ve tried blocking their number, removing my number from their call list, and changing it and yet I still get nonstop calls even when I’m not eligible to donate. I’ve religiously come in to donate every 16 weeks and don’t need your reminders…

Versiti blood center is always a place to give blood in a real nice facility. The staff are always courteous and attentive. I recently attended an off-site location to give blood. I’d like to mention Skye, the phlebotomist that took my blood. She was very skilled and knowledgeable and drew my blood very professionally without any discomfort.

Yes. It is absolutely amazing to donate blood. Very rewarding to help, especially during the current blood shortage crisis. However, I was not impressed with the environment here. I was called and texted by Versiti several times asking me to donate. I decided to come here on my one day off work, and was not treated with much respect. Not greeted, horrible wait times, etc. Staff was not friendly and made me feel like a burden when I was just trying to help. They didn’t tell me what they were doing, just expected me to know what to do. Overall a very uncomfortable, unprofessional and unwelcoming experience. I’ll stick to the mobile drives for now. I wish I could say differently, this was just my experience.

Donated today at the Livonia city hall. I was able to be processed before my appointment time and everything went fast and smoothly. My phlebotomist Chyna was very friendly and made the experience super pleasant. Much prefer versiti to Red Cross!

If you give, they will never stop calling you. I respect the mission of donating blood but they are relentless, never give them your number.
