Absolutely lovely people and process. Everyone was in a great mood, even over a busy lunchtime. I was a walk-in and they managed to get me in and out no problem, although I was encouraged to have an appointment for future blood donations just to be sure. Thank you Bruna, Eric, and everyone else for the service you do for our community!

I’ve been donating blood here regularly (every 8 weeks) for about 9 months. I went in for my appointment today, and in the short amount of time it took me to fill out the entrance form, I saw two employees walking around inside not wearing masks. One had a mask around their neck, and the other had no mask visible whatsoever. I don’t feel safe donating blood here anymore.

I’m very upset with this organization. I went to give blood this morning which is personally very important to me. I indicated that I take aspirin for a genetic blood condition. I only have the genes NEVER had any health issues. ZERO HEALTH ISSUES. I’ve given blood several times in the last 11 years since I was diagnosed. Today, someone checking boxes & following a flow chart that does NOT have a medical degree deferred me “indefinitely” from giving blood. I don’t understand why. My blood won’t hurt the person receiving it. If MD Anderson Cancer Center was happy to have my blood then I don’t understand why this place doesn’t. Lack of experience? Education? You hear all the time how desperate the need is for blood donation and yet this place makes it really, really hard, and for me impossible to donate. I donated blood 3 mos ago to Vitalant, they had NO problem with my genetics. So disappointing and frustrating, not to mention a waste of time.
