The Blood Connection

We are Seneca’s Community Blood Center.

We’re proud to call Seneca home. Whether you’re here for the easy access to the mountains and lake or wanted to stay in Clemson Country, we’re glad you’re here to help save the lives of your neighbors.

Our centers are the perfect places to give back and kick back. Open every day, yes weekends too, makes it easy to fit donating into your schedule.
You could probably use a little peace, and every Blood Connection center offers that. Clean, spacious, and comfortable, a center getaway may be exactly what you need…it’s exactly what 3 blood recipients need too.

Every donation has the power to save up to 3 lives. You’re 1 person who can make a difference!

I am a regular donor at the Greenville location and they always take walk ins. However, I have been rejected several times from this location with the excuse that there aren’t enough beds. Every time, I see about 3 or 4 people in beds and at least 10 open beds. Their customer service is subpar and I will not be returning. Considering how desperate they seem for blood, I never feel like a priority for their office.

Had and 11 o’clock appointment. Arrived at 10:50. At noon they came in to get my information. Their excuse was they were short staffed. When I walked in I should have been told that there was at least an hour wait and would I like to reschedule. I am not sure if walk ins were put ahead of me or not. My time is valuable also. They did not treat me that way. I will not go back to the Seneca Blood Connection.

This is the second time I have tried to give blood, and they close shop. I also have O- blood. The first time it happened, I had an appointment and they allowed quite a few people to just walk in and took them before me. I even arrived early. The second time, they just did not have time to stay. Don’t get it. There are all kinds of calls for blood needed, but they don’t have time. What a shame.

Zero stars. I have always had bad experiences with the blood connection van. I decided to try it again today considering they are doing a towel and a $20 gift card. I went on my lunch break at work and they were a little busy and asked for us to return in 15 mins so we left and came back in about 10 mins or so and the staff had let an additional 5 people on the bus and had let them cut in front of us. They then informed us it would be a 45 min wait to give. I nor my mother had enough time on our lunch break to be skipped over after we had appointments and had also been waiting in line prior to the other 5 people. if they are understaffed on the bus this much then they should offer the same promotion at the actual facilities right across the street. Super unhappy that I get harassed to give my O- blood and then when I try to donate they act like they don’t even want it. I would never recommend the bus to donate!

I always have a good experience here. I like being treated as a person rather than just a client, and they always do this. They like being treated as people, too, of course. Feels sort of like family.

We give to give (meaning with no expectation of reward) but Blood Connection does treat people well with points (which we have cashed in for clothes shopping, but food, movie tickets, etc.,are also options) and often tee shirts and occasionally something extra, such as blankets or cooler bags like the one shown for donating, especially if you are willing to sit in a chair for two hours to donate platelets or plasma.
