The employees at this location are rude. I kept getting phone calls to go donate blood because so claim they are in desperate need of my blood type. If they’re so desperate I would think they would give more than a lousy .50 cent t shirt. I finally got a chance to go and get rudely told I can’t give due to just getting blood work to check my liver. I will not be returning to this place.

The schedule says they are open until 7 walked in at 3:10 and was told they quit taking blood at 3. Not a good experience

I was a,”walk in”: and I signed in as instructed. There was no line but a couple of people were already in the process of donating. My wait was minimal and as a 1st timer it took about 12 – 15 extra minutes to process me and position me at the phlebotomist station. A short painless stay at the station, written post donation precautions and a 10 minute rest with drink and snack (furnished by the center) and I was out the door in approximately 40-45 minutes and headed to my humble abode; “Mi Casa”! A good experience for sure.

Had a great experience giving blood at this location. The staff was great. Jamie, Tiffany, and Tarryn worked very well as a team and were very professional. They also did a very good job of explaining very thing to me. I usually donate only on mobile busses but will be donating here from here on out. I also got a free cup and tshirt for donating.

We have top notch employees at the blood center of Hammond, La. They are always friendly and cheerful when I’ve donated. Hardly ever have I been stuck more than once.
