I started donating in July and was impressed with how quick the new donor processing was. My wait was about 10 minutes. Then process for new donor was about 15-20 mins if that. Then to my first donation. The staff took the time and explained what was going to happen in steps and answered any question I had. I’ve been donating since.

If I could give a lower rating I would. I recently went to do my first donation and it went great!!! I went to do my second donation made it through all the computer questions and then they told me my iron was to low to donate that day to come back in a few days and try again. No problem I understand. A few days later I went back and it wouldn’t let me complete my computer questions so I let them know and they sent me to a room to wait. When they came in they told me that I tested positive for a COOMBS test and couldn’t donate until I got a referral from my doctor stating I was okay. I was confused because one they were going to let me the last time if my iron would have been okay and two I asked what the COOMBS test was and what that meant for me and NO ONE could tell me what that meant that I just needed to get with my doctor. That’s kind of ridiculous that they test for things they don’t even know what they are testing for. My PCP even said those same words. So with me being worried my PCP sent me to a blood specialist to get everything figured out. So they called me the day before my appointment and asked if I could get copies of the testing they did so they could figure out what treatment I would need. So I call the plasma center and they said “we’re not a medical facility so we do not have those records” and could not tell me how to get them. So my blood specialist retested me again and I have found that I am NOT positive for COOMBS at all. So this place is super unprofessional and will either get your plasma confused with other people or just flat out lie about you having a medical condition. I will be getting legal advice about this and hopefully this place will be shut down.

It will literally take 4 weeks to get “approvals” to set you up for a new donor. You will drive there and make phone calls for weeks until they are done playing games with you to donate. I think they pick and choose who they like and don’t like and you are treated accordingly.

I really wish I had higher hopes for this place I’m upset. I first went here awhile ago and went through all my steps it took a good couple hours which I was ok about. However when I had to get a doctors note to bring it back and show them I was not fully informed to bring it back to the building. I had sent it through email and then waited another week for a response just to tell me to take it to them. At that point I had lost the doctors note and ended up going to Freedom Plasma instead.

The manager of this center has proven it is better to lie on your questions then to tell the truth honest answers will get you denied while they smile and giggle at your honesty while catering to all types addits homeless people I would not recommend this center to anyone. So in addition my review did come with a response they gave me a number to call and follow up when I call the number I was told there system was down to call back in an hour I have also spoken to other in my aa group and was advised to lie in the application process because the lady doing the physical has a reputation denying anyone who is or ever has been in an addiction group in sort being honest gets you turned away but dishonesty will get you paid

I visited 4 weeks ago. They told me they would call me. I waited a week, and then tried calling. no answer. I have called every day for three weeks straight and no one has EVER picked up the phone.

I wasn’t gonna leave a review because if you look at the way Talecris replies to reviews you can tell they just don’t care. You’d think they’d try and take a little more responsibility for being such a garbage place, but that’s clearly not the case.

Day one, drove 40 miles one way. They didn’t like my address so I had my landlord email over my lease. They didn’t like the format. Day 2 bring the same exact thing I sent just printed and they took it. After all the background and hours I was deferred because of a medication. It isn’t a major med either. It would be extremely helpful for them to have a qualifier at the VERY BEGINNING to put your meds into so you don’t sit there for HOURS for no reason. I wasted 7+ hours just in the office to not be able to donate. Your process is terrible.
