The people here are always friendly and appreciative of your time and donations. Super clean inside. Give blood! It saves lives and helps so many people.

My husband donated blood here. The chair he was to sit in had blood smeared all over it (not his) Another counter had blood smeared on it as well. This is unacceptable. I am an RDH and work in the mouth around blood all day long. Blood borne diseases is a serious affair. These peole that take blood ought to be ashamed.

Sandy showed me the biggest needle I’d ever seen on my life and it didn’t hurt a bit. Velma is a sweetheart.

I’ve donated blood at the Evans location multiple times and always had a great experience. The last time I went in to give blood, the lady at the front desk was very nice, but the lady in the back left me sitting at a table for several minutes so I made a work call while waiting. She walked over after I was on the phone for 2-3 minutes, so I told the person I’d have to call them back. When I hung up, she walked away and stood over at their little station doing nothing for several more minutes and then came back over and said “Go into room two.” Nothing like “Hello, please go into room two” or anything pleasant. While I don’t expect someone to be super nice, it would be reasonable to expect civil treatment when I’m using my personal time to donate my blood to an organization that is profiting from me doing those things. I honestly think this is a case of one bad employee making an organization look bad. Needless to say, I left and don’t intend to return. I can donate with an organization that ensures their employees at least are reasonably pleasant.

I use to donate with Shepeard and loved it. Now this place is insane. I have no idea what happened, but there seems to be only one lady at the front desk in the Augusta office that knows how to do her job. Even the “director” seems clueless. I donate in the office and on drives. I stopped coming in the office because I had such a bad experience and just kept going to the drives. Well the last drive is was suppose to go to, I was given the wrong date and time. Then when I called to complain, I was told I called the wrong office for that ( I called Evans) and that I needed to call the Augusta office. Well my favorite lady at the front desk answered and calmed me down to say the least. By the time the director came to the phone I was on hold for a while and she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. I just hung up. I will donate with the Red Cross, I am done with this place.

I’ve been donating platelets with Shepeard at their Augusta center regularly since 2016 and started giving blood with Shepeard in 2013. I have always had a great experience with my donations and love that what I give helps people in my local community. The staff has always done an excellent job sticking my arm!

I’ve been donating with Shepeard for many years, but I will not be back. My last visit was horrific, painful, unprofessional, and there was no use of gloves almost the entire time I was there (or people that went into other rooms and touched other things used the same gloves to touch my donating kit materials and wounds). I cannot even find a decent contact number to report my concerns.

I love how y’all pull up to a school and tell my child I don’t have to know she donated. First of all she ain’t told y’all what meds she’s on or how shes under care for major medical issues.
