I have been donating at this location for years. I have only seldom had unpleasant experiences. But I’m getting a giant needle jammed into my arm, if someone touches a nerve, that’s expected.

My second time at the northeast location and I was unable to donate blood due to being 15 minutes late but was waiting 5 minutes for them to even talk to me. I did a 24 hour shift prior and woke up late but it was a honest mistake. Even though I did the rapid pass prior and literally one person on the chair the lady rudely refused and gave me an attitude. Get this… as soon as I walked out one of the staff left on a break. The two times I was there the ladies at northeast location were openly rude to me and just complain. I live around the corner and unfortunately won’t be donating at this location again. They need to change staff ASAP.

Don’t schedule at this location! I’ve gotten many calls saying they have to cancel my appointments. It’s so frustrating, they cancel on you but yet you still get a million phone calls asking you to donate- I can’t if my appointments keep getting canceled! Ridiculous. Find somewhere else to donate.

My handicap son and I wanted to give back to the community and made a appointment at the American Legion Post 377. What a mistake never again, we had to endure our whole visit listening to a young female complaining about how hot is was and they should not be working ( i checked it was 73 degrees in the building) When she was not bellyaching about the heat she was going on about food!!! In the past blood donating was a pleasant experience. No one bothered to thank us for our donation. I am embarrassed for the American Legion for letting such ungrateful people use their facility’s.

My appointment was at Our Lady of Calvary.when I arrived I had to ask someone who works at the school where the blood drive was because there wasn’t signage. They were not set up at my appointment time. They were complaining about how hot it was even though the building was cool. One of the staff left and came back in with two fans. They use oral thermometers to take your temperature. I was shocked when I was told take your mask off because I need to take your temperature. Every other medical place has been using non contact thermometers. The Red Cross could be spreading COVID-19 and the flu. Never again with the Red Cross! . They mustn’t value their donors, because theIr treatment is inconsiderate and unprofessional and not up to the standards that COVID-19 and flu season require.

Avoid this center at all costs! The staff is absolutely incompetent and arrogant. Spent 45 minutes driving to donate blood on Sunday and they said I wasn’t in their list even after I showed the confirmation email and the appointment on Red Cross website. The supervisor refused to double check the appointment and did not tell her full name. Can’t understand how this place is functioning. Stay away from this center.

These people have no clue what they’re doing. Don’t go unless you like a needle being dug in deeper into your arm and twisted around. Lady literally said “it’s going too slow” and did just that. Probably because their shift was almost over and their pizza was getting cold.. Absolutely atrocious service. Extremely inconsiderate to their patients. Never again

The staff have always been pleasant, and grateful for your donation. When you donate platelets (both arms are used), you cannot move. Someone will graciously adjust the volume of the movie you’re watching, put a blanket over you, if needed, etc. Afterwards, you are encouraged to eat and drink the snacks before leaving. Since I don’t buy these snacks at home, I indulge myself. The calories don’t count because you’ve just done a good deed! At least that’s what I tell myself. Haha!
