Always clean, very nice and efficient employees. Once you have a donor number, you can use the Blood Donor app to make appointments, read the pre-donation materials and do the Rapid Pass so the wait is minimized. Snacks are always good too!

I donated platelets here last weekend and I had a really great experience! It was my first time donating platelets and I am still not an adult so I was worried about being turned down but they were very understanding and walked me through everything. I donated whole blood at my school blood drive a few months back and that was not awesome so I was reluctant to donate platelets given the time the process takes. But the staff were super nice and checked on me a lot and made sure I was comfortable. I had a good time and I have had no problems since and am coming back to donate again in two weeks! 🙂

The nurses and staff are nice. But I was turned away 4 times for trying to donate blood or platelets. That’s about 60 miles of gas mileage and hours of wait time. They have a strict protocol on skin conditions which I understand. However I was able to donate elsewhere after I was turned away with my arms being in the same condition. So I don’t know. All I know is I won’t be attempting to donate here again because I know I will be turned away. Which is a shame because they always have appointments available everyday.

I made an appointment to donate blood on 8/20/22 the same day. I checked in with the lady in front desk and told her I had made the appointment earlier that same day. She said to have a seat and that they would call me. Almost an hour passes and I see other people coming in later being called by the nurses. I asked the lady in the front desk if it would be much longer. She said that because I had made the appointment that same day it doesn’t show in their system. I was being considered a walk in. I asked her even with an appointment? She said yes and she didn’t know when they would call me. I was mad, if she had told me that from the beginning I wouldn’t have waited. They wasted my time and gas. Plus I saw some empty chairs and some of the nurses just chit chatting . I will never come here again after this bad experience.

This time made an appointment. Showed up on time. Waited 30 minutes only to be told that the network is “having problems”. Last time I waited an hour after my appointment time before my plasma donation started. The whole Pasadena operation seems mismanaged. I want to donate and help, but can’t keep wasting my time. If the organization doesn’t respect my time I can’t donate plasma here anymore.
