AMAZING!!! I’ve donated at OneBlood in the Tampa area for about 20 years. I’ve always been impressed with the staff. But I now feel like I’ve been donating in a closet. LOL! This donor center is huuuuge! And the staff was all super nice. I had a ton of questions about platelets (I can’t donate them but my husband can and wanted me to ask.) They were so patient and informative. I was sad to leave my donor center I’ve gone to for over two decades. I’ll miss it but I already love this place. I highly recommend donating here.

When we lived in Lakeland we always gave blood at the Lakeland Center. It is modern, and staffed with excellent professional people. We now live in Brandon, but we still use the Lakeland Center. They are so good, it’s worth the 45 minute drive.

Comfortable, efficient, and fast way to donate with knowledgeable staff. Donate in this large atrium.

Not impressed. The main staff were dismissive, the place was literally empty. Not one car in the lot. I went after a workout session and they did their routine vitals which is fine. However, my pulse was 108, they asked me to sit in the lobby and when they rechecked it was 106. I explained that I had just went to the gym, and being a nurse, I knew that having a patient change position such as sitting up, laying down, or standing will have dramatic differences in how the blood pressure and pulse will respond. Of course, I did not state “I’m a nurse blah blah blah” but they seemed to be fine with me leaving, guess blood donation is not nearly that important. I asked if any nurses were around and they dismissively said “No, we’re just phlebotomist.”

My first time giving my Platlets…I have to admit I was very comfortable and well informed what was happening. I had 3 well informed technicians readying me and informing me every step of the way: Annabelle, Wanda and Sierra. Each lady made sure I was comfortable and as they worked they informed me of every step they took and why these things needed to be done.

I’ve donated blood three times at this location! Nakia is wonderful and funny and made my first time donating a great experience and eased my anxiety! Alvin took my vitals the last two times and is always friendly and courteous! My phlebotomist yesterday was Angie, and she was awesome as well! I always leave with a smile; such a great staff!! 🙂

I had a very pleasant experience while donating blood on the bus at Lakeside village. Marcy and Brandi were superb in their duties and wonderful to work with. They were very knowledgeable and explained every step clearly. Everything was Covid-19 safe and I never felt unsafe at any time.

Clean, attractive facilities with a beautiful, caring staff. I just donated platelets for the first time and was constantly checked up on and kept comfortable. I’ll be back in 2 weeks! *** 2 weeks later- Got the team of Nakia, Angie, and Anabelle. I will ALWAYS try to get these ladies. Even smoother the 2nd time, they made some adjustments for me and I felt great from start to finish. Made my 3rd appointment before leaving the building!
