The heavy set gentleman with the shaved bald head at the front desk was quite rude and condescending. He was directly contradicting the information given by OneBlood personnel on the phone(which was accurate by the way.) He went out of his way to say “they didn’t know what they were talking about.”

Rich, the “heavy set gentlemen with a shaved bald head” quoted from Florida Man’s review, is NOT qualified to stick needles inside patients. The man stabbed my arms, continuously moved the needle within my vein, and finally concluded that I have “small veins”. Thereafter, preceded to use too much aggression when extracting the needles, and finally wrapping my arms uncomfortably tight so that I can remember the pain for the next 24 hours.

I’ve been on this earth for almost 57 years and have never given blood. With everything that has been going on recently I felt like I needed to do something. Yesterday I went on the OneBlood website and easily scheduled my 8:30a appointment for this morning. When it was all said and done, the hardest part was actually finding this location. I went to where the Big Red Buses are all parked when the actual location is on the south part of the plaza.

Great experience, professional employees that know what they’re doing. I was able to do both arms at the same time, while watching a movie I wanted to see that was only available on Netflix. Streaming service I don’t have, I highly recommend the where the Crawdad saying that was the name of the movie and the movie ended right as they were pulling me off the machine. I felt a little drunk when it was I was done. Highly recommend this facility to donate platelets. Payment was a $20 e gift card, and a blanket. Would love to make more but I know I’m helping mankind so it’s okay with me to receive

The Oneblood Donor room located on North Dale Mabry ROCKS! They are always positive and up beat. Even on the busiest of days, they take their time, treat everyone special and do it all with a smile. I’m inching closer to celebrating my 17th gallon of Whole Blood (O- CMV neg) after 40 + years of donating. I’m looking forward to going back in October to receive my Halloween shirt and see the staff. It’s always fun and uplifting to know you’re doing your part to keep the blood supply healthy.
