The bus personnel said I would receive movie tickets by mail as they didn’t have them on the bus, however it’s been two months and no movie tickets. Additionally the bonus money promised by electronic redemption didn’t work and after days of calling the help line I was short-changed on the amount promised. I will make reservations from now on and not show until my movie tickets show up.

Completely unprofessional staff and practices. Construction contractors came in the donation center while I was donating. In the donation room the contractors took photographs of me and sat on countertops and continued to stay while I was donating. The phlebotomists talked about my medical history in front of contractors and I don’t believe that it should’ve happened. Do not recommend!

Stay away. After having donated for over 30 years, the phlebotomist told me she wasn’t sure she could hit the vein. I used to donate platelets every month at Red Cross and never a problem. I will never waste my time with One Blood again. The staff was more concerned with a birthday than with their donors.

I have never donated blood before and this was my first time. Didn’t know they ran in competition with American Red Cross. Thought they were them but anyways I donated because my mom worked for American Red Cross I guess donating is donating. I went to the event at Crown point elementary yesterday. I don’t think they really had anyone come in there I was like the first or second person. Everything was good up until my arm started turning blue and I got light headed. I believe they took more blood than they should because I seen her fill two tubes then a bag. I believe she stuck another bag on their afterwards and continued to drain more because I bleed fast and filled up quick. I didn’t like the experience because it made me feel like I was gonna die. They did get everything off me fast and gave me ginger ale and cold bags and a throw up. But I don’t think I will be saving anymore lives for a while but my own. Thanks for the opportunity though. I see why people call them vampires and blood suckers. I believe this is how they make their money. Off your blood.

The staff is friendly attentive and very professional…I have donated x3 platelets now. Clean comfortable and I watch sterile technique as I’m a nurse. Eric was beyond excellent and any facility would be lucky to have him: he was able to work with my very difficult veins enabling me to give 2 products. The staff rotates the room meeting everyone’s needs with blankets, etc. I think they are all fantastic and I will be a regular donor!!!

I live about 5 minutes down the road from the south blvd location. I donate whole blood, double reds, and platelets, depending on if they have a machine open and if my time permits. I always have a great time when I go.

I really like this alternative to the American Red Cross for blood donation and Pherisis. They serve the local community just like the Red Cross but at a lower cost to the hospitals and patients. They operate on a lower overhead while giving what I feel is better service to the donor. It’s a smaller clinic, less waiting time & far more appreciation for your donations!

It’s convenient because of the little vans that drive around and collect blood, while the red cross is a 15 minute trip for me. However, they were NOT as good as the red cross. The nurses are inexperienced and cannot stab a vein properly. I got the needle in the first time and it was uncomfortable. Then a “higher” nurse had to redo it. Now they couldn’t get any blood from it AND she didn’t cover it the second time so now I got sickish. I had to leave and the withdrew process took forever. The nurse made me hold down my gauze for like 5 minutes before she came over and taped it, despite my requests. After, the waiting area on that bus was stupid. People could leave after 10 minutes and there was no passout chair. I’m normally someone who almost faints after donation so if I had gone through with the donation and fainted, I would have been SCREWED.

They came to do a blood drive at my school, and I made an appointment and everything, had everything ready, had read everything on their website, and thought I was set to go.
