I got a little lightheaded and nauseous towards the end of my first donation. Staff elevated my feet, placed an ice pack behind my neck, gave me a barf bag and started fanning me. I immediately felt better and was able to complete my donation. During my second donation, I got a “high return pressure” message which was remedied with readjustment of the needle. My third donation was cut short because they couldn’t remedy the “high return pressure” message. They were unable to return some blood. I was still compensated.

I had my 3rd appointment today and it went very well. Staff are friendly and helpful. The facility is super clean. No problems to note. FYI – I am over 60 and this is an easy way to earn extra pocket $$ — better than working a regular job!! 🙂

I was eager to donate, but a little nervous. They were kind and assuring and very knowledgeable to what was going to occur. I did not go in blind. Staff is friendly and facility is clean and I feel great that I am going to help many people.

Worst donation experience of my Life! Veddi or Betti the manager said I was withholding information after not being able to memorize the entire numerical of my social security number. She said I was pushing back” the staff asked me to memorize my entire social security for pushing back”. Unprofessional and I drove two plus hours to come hear because I love San Paulo!!

“Nurses” act as if they’re doctors when it comes to certain conditions that don’t fall under vague deferral guidelines. Also one nurse specifically makes things personal (younger Filipina) greets like whatever compared to other nurses who are always welcoming and friendly. Rolls her eyes, and makes you feel like a nobody just because. Would avoid the location as one bad apple reflects poorly on the entire location. Also met another person who was differed by the same person for asking for a different nurse once & another time because they came close to closing and you could tell she just wanted to go home & not take clients. Go to Oakland instead. & cherry on top they just lowered donation prices recently. Try Vitalant they pay better. And don’t defer for the smallest reasons.

I truly enjoy being a member of San Pablo Octa plasma center. The opportunity to give back to the community in a way that is priceless and that is helpful to me at the same time is something that I cannot put into words. And I am grateful for the opportunity. And not to mention the staff is wonderful!

The staff are professional, friendly, and able to answer all the questions I have. The facility is nice and clean. It’d be nice if volume from the television is optional like headphones or something for those who want to listen to the tv. Overall a great experience.

Two of your employees have a personal vendetta with me. I don’t know what I did to make him and her hate me so much but it’s uncomfortable. Before I was suspicious that they hated me but after my last visit. I now know that the two employees hate me with the vengeance and went out of their way to make my visit uncomfortable. I get it. I know when I’m not welcome and when people don’t want me around or alive anymore.

Cathy, Eric, and Candace were very kind and welcoming. It was my first time being interested in donating and my experience was very pleasant. I’m very introverted and shy but it wasn’t a problem for them at all. They explain things slowly and easy to understand. The energy there with their staff is very calming. Everyone is very attentive and easy going. Unfortunately I didn’t qualify to donate yet because of my eyebrow tattoo but I definitely won’t be hesitant to come back. They’re amazing and they will take care of you.

I’ve been donating plasma for about six years. I started donating a few years back when I was in Las Vegas, Nevada it has very much become a lifestyle for me and I know a lot about the process. When I first started donating at the then new San Pablo, California center it was a hole different team all the staff members where so nice and welcoming and everyone would know me on a more personal service level it was awesome. Now as of late I have been very disappointed although there are very nice and kind staff members that do a great job and have exceeding manors one of the staff members just really seems to dislike me and I just can’t understand why. On one of my my recent donations this person Carlos totally ignored me and I literally had blood running down my arm not only do they refuse to assist or service me Carlos does not want anyone else helping me either its like it upsets him. I needed my needle adjusted because of the way my veins are on my left arm and they just ignored me and the lights flashing on the unit but even worse when I finally got one of the other staff members to help me adjust Carlos told her that she was taking to long, and said it was because I hadn’t drank any water even after my stick was adjusted and it solved the problem. I think is a shame that someone just can’t be a professional and just do their job and be fair and equal to everyone. I don’t need friends but please just don’t watch blood running down my arm and not check on me I expect better from OctaPharma.
