Sticks are mostly painless, first time donors get a bonus, returning donors get a decent amount of money. It’s a little crowded sometimes but if you come before 10 am you’ll be in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Download the app to do the questionnaire before you get there and you can skip the kiosk. Staff is friendly and the place is always clean and well lit. Great way to supplement your income. Highly recommended.

Great friendly and caring staff. They made this experience amazing. They care about the donors and have a way about themselves that makes you happy to give. It’s been a little over 4 years sens rive been here and the changes and improvement that I have seen is great! Still friendly and courteous staff as before. The new machines are nice , building is clean . No complaints here for me!

I was told here that my heart rate was 1 point from being acceptable? I’m guessing in the medical field there’s some big difference between 49 and 50 with the heart rate. I don’t suggest this place if you fit my description. Just isn’t useful.

I like going to Octapharma Plasma in Van Nuys. The staffing is really friendly, very attentive and if you have any problems or questions, they respond to you quickly. They keep the place clean in the lobby and in the back, even the bathroom is very clean. They have huge TV screens with a movie playing (in case you do not have your phone on you to watch what you want). The reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is for 2 reasons: the first is that even though the entry is in the back where there is a parking lot, as a donor, cannot park there, unless you have a handicap placard to park in said spot (right in front of the door). I saw the sign the first time I went up there and was bummed about that. So you have to partk at the meters on the street. Better put in for at least 2+hrs just in case or, get a ticket. Only Sunday is when there’s free parking at the meters.

Octapharma used to be worth the commute to give plasma. They paid the highest so you kinda ignored the ghetto surroundings. When I started going there, just a few months ago, as someone weighing <150, I was compensated $40 then $90 for total of $130. Now, same weight... they have nerve to reimburse only $20 and $20 for total of $40 for two donations for the week!!!! They slashed reimbursement from $130/week, to just $40!!! thats absolutely insane. I will never go back. Im worth more than total of $40. There are SO many other options. IDK what the logic was... but not a good move. Only a crackhead druggie would be down for that.

OVERALL- I have been donating plasma at this location consistently for 3 weeks now. So far, I’ve had great experiences at every single visit. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The whole operation seems chaotic when you first walk in, but immediately, you see there’s an order and everyone who works there is so efficient.
