When money got tight after I had some unexpected medical debt I remembered what I did in the 90s to make ends meet and sought out a plasma donation center. The other center in the area never had openings, but this one did. The first visit will take you 3 hours or so, but afterward you’ll be out in about 45 minutes after you get in the chair. How long it takes to get in the chair varies depending on how many people are in line; show up before they open or an off time and the wait isn’t bad. They run this place very efficiently and you get paid on a visa debit card and can use it most anywhere. The extra $500+ a month allows me to still take my girls out on the weekends and makes my life stress a little less.

I’ve been using Octapharma for almost two years and I am pretty happy with them. They do have a high employee turnover rate but their overall process is quite easy. Generally you can be in and out in 45 minute’s depending on your hydration levels. I definitely would recommend them.

Initially, the line was long and only one intake person . So we stood in line for over an hour . Once I made it to the donor waiting room , it went rather smooth and pleasant. The attendees were helpful and kind , checking on all clients ,not just those assigned to them. Very professional and open to questions.

Love the staff!! I do have one suggestion for whomever can incorporate new ideas in the identification process…I feel that having us say our social security numbers(last four) multiple times when in crowded area isn’t the best approach. I mean we give our full name , last four ssn, dob… that’s a lot of personal information. Why can’t you have donors set up a 4 digit pin when we sign up and for existing donors. This way personal information isn’t floating amongst the building for anyone to gather.?? It’s just a suggestion that would make myself and most folks feel better and safe. Thank you for your time..

I really like this plasma center. The center is clean, the employees are friendly, and the wait is never too long. I was going to another center that offered a little more per donation but it wasn’t worth the anxiety I got at that center. Octapharma doesn’t waste people’s time and they seem to train their employees really well. I would say the environment feels a little more casual, but is by no means unprofessional. I personally feel more relaxed with the casual environment.
