The techs here are good. The facility is clean. They are way understaffed. So many techs call out. There is a core of dependable techs working all the time but not enough to serve the needs. It used to be about 75 minutes to get in and out and it is consistently 2.75 hours on any day. They need to increase wages for the techs to attract and retain loyal workers. I am considering changing lab company to a lab with proper staffing.

The people that tend to you there at the west ave/ Blanco area are great! Two phlebotomist ladies are the best. No one can usually get me started but these 2 got it on the 1st. Just wish we would have got our new referral bonus all the way through

I really enjoy going to this place to donate plasma because the people are very kind and helpful! Great staff! I especially enjoy catching up with Thorne who is always smiling and moving quickly EVEN WITH A BROKEN FOOT! (Though I’m always telling him how he should take it slower!) He is just never wants to slow down and is always so helpful and works hard to make my experience at Octapharma as positive and personal as possible!

I love this center because the staff is awesome! Donating plasma as, as we know, is time consuming – but the flow is smooth for the most part at this location! Thorn is absolutely amazing! My commitment to sticking with this center is because of his exceptional customer service skills and his personality is great!! He is professional and personable.

Miranda made my donation visit so nice today. She was very proficient at the intake and was able to multi-task ,, holding a friendly conversation, without skipping a beat or delaying the process . Employees like her give the center a family-feel and I am happy to keep coming back!

If you’re looking for clean, friendly & most of the time fast service. This is your place. The techs here are cool as hell & if you want a specific person to stick you, they will accommodate you. Shentara, Mariah, Nick, Carolina & Bri are my faves @ sticking. Been coming here for many years & I don’t think I’ll be going to any other plasma place.

The vibe at the west Ave location was very chill and laid back in a positive way. Nowhere chaotic like the Ingram/bandera location. The location inside is spacious and accommodating kept clean and the workers are not rude or arrogant. Check in time might vary but the west Ave location is in a part of town where there is a bit more money locally so I suspect this is why it’s not as packed as the bandera location with all due respect to the people that donate.

Thorne is literally one of the best staff there!! He’s very communicative and super sweet when we come in to donate! He gave me some really good advice on how to lower my heart rate. It was indeed helpful!

Horrible experience ever! I got told that I am now deferred 65 days over a mistake made by an employee who was obviously not paying any attention possibly due to chatting over non work related issues. The other worker possibly manager did not seem too pleased from the looks of it all when asking who set my machine up. I did respect how she handled my situation with care as the other employee did not even apologize whatsoever all she said to another employee was she thinks she made it on the one who helped taking me off bad side smh very unprofessional. This employee literally just took blood from me that I could not be given back nor saline due to her forgetting to hook up an important cord or whatever it’s called on machine which could of had me passed out somewhere and to know I have children as well, very disappointing.
