The phlebotomist there are very nice and do a great job. I haven’t had any problems with any of their sticks or disconnects. They are usually pretty quick to get you in and out.

My first visit here and I was in and out in no time compared to the half a day waiting at other places. I have not missed an appointment simply because the staff are courteous, professional and make sure I am getting everything I need and a completed donation with ease. Thank you for making this a positive experience.

Excellent experience. Far better than other options in town. Tiffani S and Katrina were both so nice. Great work!

They pay well, and their app is extremely convenient and cool. However the center is regularly understaffed, which can make your 1 hour donation very easily become 2 or 3 hours as 1 phlebotomist tries to manage the load while half the beds are empty. This makes planning donations around a work or childcare schedule very difficult, and I’ve found I’ve had to skip out on my donation more than once because there simply aren’t enough people working the needles.

Switched from BioLife to Octa because the hours are so much better with my job. I can only speak to my experience and to the specific time of day that I go, but I have yet to have a problem with this facility. Employees are nice, it’s less busy compared to BioLife’s over booking, TVs everywhere, I can put my headphones in and chill. There has been maybe once or twice where the wait was long, even going early in the morning, but they are short staffed at times. But short staffed doesn’t always equal bad service! If you keep up with donating you can usually get the max amount for your criteria each time, as opposed to having to donate twice at BL to even make it work taking the time off to donate.

The first day is always the longest, you must complete a video tutorial, a booklet, a short physical exam, then on to your first donation. The whole process was approx 3 hours. However, every donation day after, I was in and out in about an hour, sometimes less. The OctaApp makes the pre screening much more efficient, able to complete the questionnaire before actually going to the donation center.

This place isn’t nearly as professional or polite as they use to be. Went to donate as a new donor because I haven’t been there in a while and did the whole new donor process all over again stood in line for about 5 minutes with no one else in line, someone came on the other side of line and they tried to call him up before me, thankfully the guy checked them on it and said she was here way before me, so I went up there and the lady took a little bit of blood (not filling the tube to the line) than says u can’t donate ur level is low (which has never happened for me) she tells me I will have to go back tomorrow, so I did and another rude staff member says u need to do the process all over again as a new donor and we don’t have no one to help u with that. I just left, I’m not even going to waste my time or energy with that kind of energy. Hope they can find better workers who don’t make it miserable for everyone else because they are miserable.
