I would certainly recommend this facility to anyone. The staff is always friendly, and it’s very easy to get in and out of. Most of all, they help you through the process. You don’t have to guess what to do next. I’ve been here at least 20 times and never had an issue. I tried to switch to the other facility in town because of the great promotion coupon they had. I left there in utter frustration because of the bait and switch tactics they use. You guys here at octa are great! I’m sticking with you!

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The process is quick and easy. The donation rates are better then the other place in town. The establishment is clean and well organized. It is a great way to save lives and make a lil extra money.

Everything went fine as usual, until they told me how much I would get that day. I had been getting $60 per visit, but this time it was $55. So what’s up with that? I have not missed but one donation in the past two weeks, but still had at least 8 donations in the past 35 days, per required for full compensation. No explanation could be given, so went home to do some online searching, to find out they lowered the payout. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time.

Pretty nice place, clean, good staff and cool. Only issue I have is, sometimes after my light turns green, it takes 10 minutes or so waiting for someone to unhook me. Arm gets a little sore during the donation due to awkward angle, so quicker the better!

I love everything about OP but the waiting process is a bit much. You have 4 booths for people to take their vitals and it’s always just one person in them booths checking vitals and makes the process longer than expected

The whole process with only one person doing the screening everyday makes the standing in line process take hours some days…their staff that they do have is absolutely great and does the best they could possibly do but they are really understaffed especially on a Monday running with only 3 people makes my donation time total take like 4 hours which is absolutely irritating considering when I’m actually donating it takes me anywhere from 30-35 minutes until the machine is done..they rest of the time there spent is because of being understaffed.I hate to complain but they need to have a lot more employees because this isn’t a here and there situation it’s every time I go which is 2x times a week and I have considered not going at all anymore or waiting and changing to a different center

I get up one day and think, I’d like to save some lives today and donate some plasma. So I drive to sioux city from where I live (Le Mars.) I haven’t donated in over a year so I was told I was a new donor, which was expected from me. The staff takes me in a room and tells me there is an odor coming from me and I can’t donate. I asked them if my cologne was to strong and they told me it wasn’t my cologne. When I asked them what exactly that smell was they said body odor. Now mind you it was a pretty hot day out, so I said I can maybe put on deodorant. They told me no and I still can’t donate. I was told to come back tomorrow. To be treated like this was extremely embarrassing, considering I do take showers and my clothes were clean. She asked me if I was going to come back tomorrow and I told her no, I’m never going back to OctaPharm ever again in my life. This was my favorite location because the staff(older staff) was so nice and helpful. As I’m walking through the donation floor I see multiple new staff I have never seen before. She kept insisting that I come back one day but I told her no, this is too embarrassing to point out such and small detail about someone and that they would go to this extreme to tell me. I am over coming an EXTREME fear of needles by coming to this place. If I could give the new staff that handled the situation a “stars” review, I would give them -5 stars for the unprofessionalism they gave me. I will NEVER go back to OctaPharma again. This was ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. I’m trying to save lives and overcome a ENORMOUS fear.
