The prescreening staff are very nice, always cheerful and very efficient. The nurse who helped me with my new donor intake was awesome. However some of the staff in the donor area barely acknowledge you are there accept to acknowledge the necessary questions then they resume talking over you to the other staff members and need them for anything they make you feel as though you are bothering them. And a few of the staff need more training on inserting the needle.

It maybe slow through the screening part. They have very nice people working there. They are all so friendly at least to me they are. The people there know what their doing. Never had any issues

The staff is super friendly and efficient. It is first come first serve, no need to make an appointment so you can go when you have time. Be patient. Knowing that you don’t have an appointment means no one does. Sometimes you get in and out, sometimes there is a line and you have to wait.

The wait in line for return donors is at times long and can take up to an hour to get through. While you’re standing inline there is an employee that does nothing but stand at the front counter and does nothing except tapping on the counter watching the line. I arrived at 7:10 and didn’t get through the check in line until 8:30….there were only 4 people ahead of me. There was only one employee checking everyone in which takes about 5 minutes. However new donors with a fast pass go ahead of the line.

Confusing initially. Easy once you’ve gone a couple times. They need more phlebotomists, because there are always lines and it can only move as fast as them getting people started and finished.

I originally posted a 5 star review, but after today, I wish I could give 0 stars. A couple of months ago I went to donate for the first time in about 2 years and was told I would start getting new Donor payments for the first 8 payments. Upon being seated the person who put the needle in my arm

There is a man who does the screening who needs to learn how to read he says there’s issues with my hematocrit I’ve been tested and been the doctor for it. He tells me every time it’s low. The doctor does not concur. He’s also extremely rude and impatient and just needs to do something else for a living for real. It’s also always the same number and he doesn’t seem to check it really other than on a small little thing I’m sure he can’t see. I’d just as soon turn around and leave if he’s there. Seems like other people have this same issue. They need well trained people who can see it working in there unless this is a tactic to get the center to not have to work so hard by having him work at the end of the day or expected busy days. That’s a thought….

If it weren’t for the angel who drew my blood I would not have returned a second time. I recently moved back home to be with family and just got my own apartment so I was down to bare bones financially. I needed just a little more to get me through the next two weeks so I figured why not donate? Good money, good cause. Give what I can because it’s just excess in my body. Walking in I was met with an older woman who seemed fed up with the people who came through. Talking with her during the physical confirmed it. She viewed them as lowlife (my simplification, not her actual words) who “didn’t want to work” (her actual words). I was floored. Her disgruntled demeanor toward me changed the moment I told her I worked for the state, she seemed to brighten like we were kindred when seconds before she was looking down her nose at me. I didn’t know what to say. I went where I was directed, I did as I was directed, it went smoothly until it came time to be seated for the draw. A young woman tested my arm as if she were disgusted to touch me, irritated that she had to check both arms, and scoffed as she walked away leaving me no instructions and just standing there waiting to be told where to go. She confirmed with her coworker as they passed that I was good to donate but didn’t specify which arm was better. Then comes my angel. The woman who made it less terrifying to be under her care. She joked with me, eased my tension, and explained what to do and when to do it. I relaxed and she put the needle in easy as can be. I was even the fastest donation she’s ever seen! I think I impressed her with my ability to hydrate. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t think I would have come back a second time. I don’t like not knowing what to do or what to expect simply for the fact that people don’t have the capacity or heart to understand that even if YOU do it every day, doesn’t mean someone else does. Have some patience. Some compassion. And please, I beg of you, don’t think someone is less than just because they need a little quick cash. Sometimes it’s the difference between eating, going homeless, or just making it through to that next check after a major life change. I will always be thankful that the last woman was the last interaction I had that day. I returned because she showed me kindness in an already stressful situation. I will ask her name the next time I donate, and if she is not there, I will come back some other time. She is the reason I was able to pull myself together. Thank you.

Only left one star because less isn’t possible. The employees, with the exception of Roxie and Brandi are horrible. They will make you wait hours for them to mangle your arm. And don’t try to complain. The higher you go up the chain of command the more rude they are. Chantel is the head boss at this location and acts like she hates life and everyone that appreciates it. If you encounter her, even in your first 5 minutes in the door, you will know who she is by the look on her face.
