Very clean; compensation is good. Unfortunately the wait is way too long at this location. I’ve been there 3 times, at different times of day, and the waiting was over an hour each time. Spent more time waiting than donating. There is not enough seating for those waiting. On one occasion standing for an hour and a half (and becoming impatient) caused me to have elevated pulse, so I was not allowed to donate that day. The place is understaffed. They have 4 or 5 stations for intake screening but I’ve only ever seen 1 or 2 people manning them at a time.

Today was my first visit… it takes longer for the paperwork and computer screening, ect., so plan on 3 hours. Everyone I met working there is very nice and personable – especially to a nervous newbie. Office looks clean and systems are in place to make the process safe. Expect some waiting during busy times – I saw the line go from empty to 6 people in 10 minutes, so that seems a bit random. Donators seem to be mostly working class types. Parking area seems safe. They have a phone app to help the check-in process on my next visit.

The employees here are amazing most of the time. The facility itself is nice. My only complaints are the amount of time it takes to be seen is not worth it when (moving to my next issue) the compensation is low especially if your a returning donor after a break. You would think you’d want incentive to bring people back instead your going to pay less than half of a repeat donor. UPDATE: apparently getting worse having to reschedule a donation because your understaffed maybe having more than one person closing would be a better option. Wasting time and money to show up it’s a wonder how you are keeping people even wanting to donate with you. This review in No way reflects the staff again they are great but management or the higher ups need to figure something out.

The process is fairly simple. Nice friendly staff. Give yourself 3-4 hours the first visit (go to the desk your first visit, don’t wait in line like me)

I’ve been there three times. The first time I was told my eyes were uneven. Possible brain bleed. Went to the hospital had a CAT scan done and the doctors there whom are real doctors, said my eyes look normal and a CAT scan proved there was nothing going on. Took Paperwork back saying everything was negative. About a week later they called saying to come back. Okay no problem it’s better safe than sorry I understood. Went back and was denied again. This time due to having surgery 8 years ago and surgical pens put in me. It’s fine for them to be in me but it’s not fine to donate with them in me. Okay whatever. These places should be up front about what’s acceptable and what’s not so people don’t waste their time and gas to go do this. Thought I would be helping cancer patients but I guess not.

So I read a bunch of horror stories about these places, long waits ect. Today I donated for the second time so here’s my thoughts. My first time, I knew to expect atleast 2/3 hours and while I was there that long, the process was consistent as I never actually waited, I was moved continuously to the next step in the process. The actual stick and donation was easy and painless. Onto the second time, I waited in line maybe, 15/20 mins. Was called, did the vitals and in the chair to donate within 5/10 mins. Again, was smooth and speedy. So far, zero complaints from me if this continues to go this way, however. I can tell that there will be days (when it’s packed) that it can be a nightmare. I picked 2 days and 2 times where the traffic wasn’t bad at all, especially the second time. Also big shout out to Serena. Super friendly, talkative and makes everyone all around comfortable!

This is my first experience with donating. It’s a minimum of an hour wait just to see, if you are healthy enough to donate. I don’t know if they are understaffed, but it definitely appears that way. The actual donating process is positive for the most part for me. I only had one bad experience with one of the phlebotomists blowing my vein. The company did still pay me for my time because I was unable to donate for over a week. They explain everything and are very attentive to the donors. The place is very clean, appropriate and professional.

The staff are are very friendly at the Hudson location. The one big downfall is that there was only one person doing intakes and the line took a VERY long time. I waited in line longer than it took to donate the plasma. I even thought I was going at a slow time (according to Google) but the only slow thing about it was the time it took to get into a donation chair. Again….great staff….just need at least one more intake person.

Plasma is a $24B industry, with Americans donating around 2/3 of the worlds plasma. This is not exactly reflected in the donor side of things. You would think they were struggling since the cut the donor rewards twice within 3 months, effectively reducing the monthly payout by over $40. The center I go to is kept understaffed so the lines stay decently long, but they know what they are doing and it is no fault of the employees here, which is why I’m giving them the stars I am.

Staff was pleasant and professional. If I could have them work on one thing it’s to pay a little more attention to the ones who need disconnected. I sat there for 15 minutes waiting for someone to come
