Waited 4 hours check in, first visit to be told I can’t donate unless I’m off a medication for 3 months and have a doctor’s note stating that. Donate for red cross no My husband went with me to donate as a first time donor too. Came in at 11am. He left at 3:50pm. He was able to donate. 5 hours later. Love the side hustle, make sure you have your schedule cleared!!!!

Dee and Marisa were professional and helpful as always. They were the only bright spot. Jay, the closing manager, had the doors locked well before 7pm. The technicians in the bay were asking how did she get in. They were adamant that I arrived was well past 7pm, wholly inaccurate! I work a full time job and live 40 minutes away. This is never been an issue before. Another donor was encouraged me to make a report of the unprofessionalism I experience.

Yesterday I arrived at 6:57 pm…traffic was extremely heavy. I could not open the door the technician at the desk mouthed come on in. I responded it is locked. I am usually there well ahead of closing. It is policy that doors are not locked until 7:00 pm. I have even witnessed them time stamping the closing time on the computer and than locking the front door at 7pm on September 26, 2023. I even expressed my astonishment, and said, “ Wow, so the doors really are not locked until 7pm?” She replied, “Yes, corporate does not tolerate the doors being locked before 7pm.” A technician in the back assisting donors actually pumping plasma,said Jay locked the doors early today; so how did she get in? Her colleagues started chiming in. They were fussing with their colleagues at the front desk. Asking repetitively, “Why is she in here.” I encourage Octapharma Plasma to pull the tapes. I cannot believe the rudeness and unprofessionalism that some of the technicians on the floor subjected me to yesterday evening.

Only giving a 4 because they never have enough workers on the floor! Other wise the girls are awesome and very sweet. They are worked to death and people are having to wait almost an hour to be set up.

Edit… 3 months later, and I still haven’t heard anything from them about when or if I can donate. I needed $ back in the summer, considering I am a teacher and don’t get summer pay. I am more than likely going to the other Plasma donation center in Florence. I really wanted it to be Octopharma. If I try to call them, I can never get through to the Florence site. That is another issue. Ugg!

The only person who can stick me correctly is Chavette, very sweet person and she always stays to herself and always help the other ladies without a second thought. But lately they always seem to just put her in the lab and she always on night shift so I cant never catch her to stick me anymore. I often asked her why she won’t become a supervisor and she only reply is they won’t make me one. I think that cruel!!! Companies and management always fail to see when they have good employees and always pick who they want to. She deserves so much better. I pray she get the position she have deserved soon and she can sometimes come in the morning, So I can get her to stick me again. But from just observing when Iam there. I doubt that will happen. What a shame. The donors that love you are rooting for you!! God bless.

It was pretty cool I have already donated before at a plasma place in Florida with the CSL plasma you guys do it a little bit different the pay is different but I’m a donor and I like to donate to the less fortunate that doesn’t have what we have in our body to help them heal their body so this is a good experience for me new wages but still a new experience for me octapharma plasma it’s a cool place

Shocked at the level of flexibility and hospitality. My wife has separation anxiety issues, and was told she could not come with me. I understand there are policies, but there should be accomodations for special needs cases. Disappointed.
