The staffs were great. It only took 15 minutes to donate whole blood. They also provided snacks and drinks after finished. Try to drink lots of water before donation and observe at least 15 minutes after that.

First time donating here. Facilities are very very clean and everyone was friendly. They were patient to answer all my questions. The phlebotomy only took like 15 minutes and they even have free coffee and snacks!

The newest blood Center in town and it is much more spacious and comfortable than the one near Grand Central. Staff are also a bit more nicer.

I try to donate platelets every two weeks as a great need exists because the shelf life of this substance is short. The staff is exceptionally competent, kind and thoughtful toward all donors. The special plus is my donation makes me feel I am giving to an life giving cause.

I’m a long time blood donor and was really happy a Brooklyn site was available again after the old site near MetroTech closed. This site is a great improvement. It’s spacious, bright, clean, and well-located. However, I must say I had a very disappointing experience with the staff. For the very first time in over 20 years of being a donor, I found the team here to be disorganized, curt and downright rude to donors. I observed a potential platelet donor being inappropriately scolded because he was late (I heard him say he was detained at work). If it was too late he should have been told that at the front desk, not chided loudly and publicly. The person who did my intake (blood testing, BP, etc.) was at first oddly abrupt and then downright rude, and the person who drew the blood just seemed annoyed to be there. Perhaps everyone was having a bad day, but it would be nice if the staff tried a little harder to meet the physical atmosphere of this bright new space and work out their discontent in private while getting better systems in place. There was far too much bickering which was off-putting to people who took the time to donate.

The best blood donation experience I’ve had in over 10 years of giving blood. Professional, friendly staff and volunteers. They were very fast, and had the best snack options, even a refrigerator to keep the drinks cold!
