I always have a pleasant experience there. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They really appreciate the donations, and they are very attentive. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommended.

I HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING BUT A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE HERE! I DONATE EVERY FEW MONTHS, HAVE MET MOST OF THE STAFF, AND HAVE AN EASY FAST PAINLESS TIME WITH EVERY VISIT. EVERYONE THAT WORKS THERE IS HAPPY TO BE THERE! THEY ARE ALL KNOWLEDGEABLE & KNOW THE ANSWERS TO ALL MY QUESTIONS. CAN’T, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, UNDERSTAND THE LESS THEN 5 STAR REVIEWS???

Not a friendly place and the staff are spiky. Also, the animal cruelty case against the charity makes for sad reading. Avoid at all costs.

The New York Blood Center, which reportedly had gross income in excess of $400 million for the tax year ending March, 2014, says on its website that it embraces and values “the highest ethical, humanitarian, medical, and scientific standards.” Really? I guess your standards and mine are a bit different. You used and abused animals for 30 years and then leave them to starve to death. That makes you money hungry pigs whose only interest is the almighty dollar.

I found the Stony Brook University Hospital Blood Center was a friendlier place to donate platelets and whole blood.
