I used to go there but the people who work there are ignorant. I had my arms waxed and my skin was Irritated they told me I couldn’t donate because I had excema. Obviously they have no clue about what they are talking about. You sure won’t find a single medical degree among them. I still get robo calls from them several times a week, to the point I had to block them. Do yourself a favor use another place to donate blood.

Made a double red appointment arrived on time the I waited over 70 minutes with no sign they won’t would be taking me soon. So I left. I understand they might be short staffed but for goodness sake offer less appointments or take less walkins.

I have donated for many years and have donated blood at this location for the past year. No more. Service is just downright horrible. Staff literally stabbed me with the needle and did a search and dig into my arm. I have done it many times and this was the worst attempt to draw blood I ever had. After I said take out the needle cause it was painful they basically told me to go. No sorry, or come back and try again. Its like hit the road jack and don’t let that door hit you on the way out. Horrible. Manager was there and I looked straight at her when I walked out and not a peep. Horrible experience, they just don’t care it seems.

Excellent staff very professional. You might even get a smile. Lively. Staff is always making sure that if they are needed they know what to do. I walk away and feel happy to donate platelets

It used to be great but now I’m not so sure. I’ve donated over 80 times with the NY/NJ Blood Center and most of the recent donations have been here. But the last 2 times have not been good. Back in October, they basically ignored the 6 feet spacing requirement and put people on either side of me only about 3 feet away when I was there to give a 2+ hour donation. And then the waiting/recovery area was literally packed with people. This time something went wrong with the donation where the return pressure read too high and instead of lowering the return, the tech shifted the needle which caused the draw pressure to go too low, and despite many attempts at continuing to shift it, nothing changed and she gave up. During that time she didn’t really say anything to me about what was going except to remark about the scar tissue on my arm (hello, I’ve donated over 80 times, the scar tissue is from them poking me so often) And then after she gave up and pulled the needle out and bandaged me up, all she said was that I could try again in 3 days. And in the waiting area after I said it was frustrating that I couldn’t donate and didn’t know why, all they did was shrug. Given all the times that they call and email and ask me to donate, I don’t think it is asking for much to get some genuine appreciation for the fact that I came in the early morning to donate and some sympathy for the fact that the effort was wasted.

I had an absolutely flawless experience here giving blood. The people working here are kind and also very professional. I was pleased with the general Covid precautions (masks, walls in the eating area, etc.). Thanks! Will definitely come back in the future.

Open Tuesdays and Saturdays, the staff here are incredibly considerate and efficient. Jessica, Dallas, and all are attentive to their donors and make for an enjoyable revisit. If you’re planning on doing Double Red Cell donation, be sure to account for time as the process is a bit more time consuming than whole blood donation (in my experience)
