I’m handicap – the last time I came to Donate (@Andersons Hosp) AT YOUR MOBILE BUS – OUTSIDE there was no where to sit (unable to do prolonged standing) My wife WAS recovering from Knee Replacement (Unable to do prolonged standing) she had no where to sit.

Love the Flowood center. If you have a reservation the wait is maybe 20 minutes max. They take pretty good COVID precautions. Staff are great but the main thing for me is the staff doing the sticks are well trained so there is minimal paid.

It took forever to get me hooked up to the machine properly, as the first stick was not good. Instead of simply trying again in my other arm, they moved the needle around in my arm for a while. Twenty minutes later there was still not a good connection (the needle wasn’t in my vein and so blood wasn’t being collected), and I had to ASK them to move the needle to another vein and try again. Once the ball was rolling it was much smoother, but it was ridiculous that it took so incredibly long for them to realize (with my help) that they should just try again. It was unpleasant and inefficient. Furthermore, I don’t think I saw any nurses, so if I had a more serious issue while giving blood, I’m not confident that phlebotomists would have the training to care for me.

Professional and clean. Took nervous friend to give blood with me once and wasn’t allowed in the area he was donating in. Pretty stressful for a first time donor afraid of needles to go it alone, but rules were rules I guess. Good experiences there otherwise.
