They have very strict and unusual policies. I have been donating blood for most of my adult life. Now they want medical clearance from my doctor every time I come in because I had surgery couple of year ago. They don’t even trust their systems if you donated here before. Just waster of time trying to do good. Donate any where but not here.

I just donated blood for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly kind and caring, the actual donation only took seven minutes (I was there for about 50 mins in total) and the snacks were delicious. I felt supported and will definitely be returning.

I’ve been coming back to MSK’s Blood Donation Room for years now and it’s for the same reason – the blood donation can be directed or general, the staff is attentive, friendly, and they follow up with you like you’re their family, the snacks are great quality, and sometimes the gifts for coming in are very nice. You can walk in and donate without an appointment, even though an appointment is preferred.

Like with every blood donation room, your primary concern is going to be vampires. Thankfully , the friendly non-vampire staff did everything in their power to assure me that my blood will go straight to the patients. A+ (more like A positive)!
