If you want pain and a failed blood donation come here! They don’t know how to draw blood or maintain a stick. Never in my life have I had this issue, but the reviews were right. Go to the Red Cross!

If you are looking to donate blood or plasma, go to Red Cross. This company and location has managers who do not care about their employees one bit. I was fired after being in the hospital with diabetic Keto acidosis and a MRSA blood infection. They told me if I didn’t come to work that day that I would no longer have a position. So they wanted me not only to check myself out of the hospital again medical advice but wanted me to come into an environment with donors while have an active mrsa blood infection that is HIGHLY contagious. The manager Blair at this location is one of the snobbiest, two faced people I’ve met. She shames the people who go to the food bank next door to the center and tells you one thing then calls HR to get you in trouble. This company and the managers both regional and local are terrible people, don’t care for their employees nor their donors, and would rather an employee come in with an infectious disease that can very easily be spread to a donor than let them heal. Do yourself a favor and donate elsewhere.

Went to donate blood on 10/17/20. I have never in all the times I’ve donated had the experience I had this time. The lady stuck me and went fishing to find the vein. I told her my arm was tingling and burning. She looked at it and said it was fine. Then another lady said it was oozing. They changed the gauze. Looked at it and said squeeze the ball again and it gushed blood. I’m in the medical field and this whole experience was uncalled for. My arm is very bruised swollen and painful.

I won’t be donating with lifesouth again. I was told the easiest way to find out my blood type was to donate. Made sense. So I visited a lifesouth donation truck. I asked before hand to make sure I would find out my blood type. The technician assured me that I would. So now, a week later, after suffering through a staff member that couldnt find the vein in my arm and was stabbing around in there like they used to be a liposuction technician, (still bruised a week later), I am told by a lady at their office that the big bag of blood went to the hospital and that the little vial they use for testing could not get my blood type? So how do you send a bag of blood to the hospital without knowing the type? SMH.

The staff charged with drawing blood at the mobile blood bus in LaGrange Georgia on December 6th, 2020 were completely inept, showing evidence of little, if any experience in this skill. Not only were they unable to get a drop of blood from me though they stated with certainty that the needle was “in the vein”, they were unable to draw blood from any of the other three people who took time to attempt to make a donation. What a waste of willing donor time, and shame on Life South for placing staff in this position before they are adequately trained, and proven to be qualified. During this time of great need for blood donation, The LaGrange Georgia Lifetime Blood Drive failed miserably.

The most friendly, attentive, efficient that I have ever donated to in sixty years of donating and they actually even offered juice and NUTTER BUTTERS. They actually have comfortable and clean facilities. Fast in and out.

Unfortunately I won’t be giving blood anymore. My wife and I went to give blood today but are not going to be forced to wear masks especially when we are donating. Two month ago she Covid was thought to be worse they weren’t required.
