I came in today as a 1st time donor. One person said, No problem your bank statement from your phone is fine for verifying. The other one said, No I’m sorry she said that, but it was a straight up NO. I wasted 2 hrs of my time! I’m homeless/sleeping in my car. Almost outta gas & wasted that commute time for nothing! I like this place the best. Idk why so many low star reviews. If you compare this place to csl it’s like heaven vs hell. I’ve always been treated nicely and they really value my loyalty and donation. I would give the whole 5 stars but they lowered the second donation to $90 from the original $100 without notifying me via email or anything else. I still come tho because it’s still a way better environment than the other place and it’s still more money than them too.

This company deferred me without a medical explanation. Claimed they had to destroy all 30 of my donations. I went up the chain of command. I never received a medical explanation from any supervisor, doctor, or RN. I was told they will do an investigation and get back to me. They never did get back to me. My plasma donations are pure. I carry special blood that they can make a medication from. The medication helps a child’s blood not reject their mothers blood. My blood can save a child’s life. This company destroyed valuable medicine without a medical explanation. What this company did should be illegal.

I’ve donated here and at CSL each at a year minimum. Keds offers more than the other plasma locations in regards to new and returning donors. my BP is never as high here as it it supposedly at CSL. The staff is very friendly and I’ve developed a great relationship with them!

I have been shorted compensation for the second time in nearly as many donations. First I got a $20 bonus text for my second donation of the week, and even though I showed the text to the intake specialist and she put it on my payment slip, the person who payed me completely didn’t ignored it and I had to point that out on the following donation to get it and make sure that the person handling the pay slips compensated me accordingly. Then, on the very next donation, I was supposed to receive $90 according to the pay chart posted, as well as the pay slip presented to me, and instead I received $40 for my SECOND donation of the week. Like why am I providing my plasma for this company to use based on the pay promised if you people aren’t going to pay me what you say you will? It’s okay, because Talecris and CSL pay equally as much if not more AND they pay what they say they will, not whatever they feel like paying me in the moment. Completely unprofessional. I will not be going back.

I would suggest going elsewhere if you want to donate your plasma. I had a blood loss the first time I donated. On my 6th donation I also had a loss due to my machine being incorrectly set up and the staff couldn’t explain why it happened. They said I was not deferred because they got all my blood back to me, besides the blood that had been going into the plasma bottle. I then donated just this last Thursday, before my donation a nurse called me in her office (very nice lady) asking me if I felt okay and told her everything was completely fine. Then I went in today and they told me I was deferred and that the nurse shouldn’t have expired the blood loss on my chart… technically I shouldn’t have donated this past Thursday if that was the case… the lack of communication and professionalism is what is deferring me from going back at all… so if you want to go to a medical center that can’t explain the medical procedures and protocols then by all means you should definitely go to KEDS.

I came before and asked to be weighed and the lady that weighed me was nice and didn’t ask me to take anything off. Since they weren’t accepting donors because it was too late I decided to come in another day. I came in today and asked to be weighed again to make sure I weigh enough and this lady gave me the nastiest look. I felt super judged. She told me to take off my shoes which is so weird and embarrassing considering the first lady didn’t ask. WILL NOT be coming back I DO NOT trust these people with my plasma. Not to mention my boyfriend usually goes here and he had one lady completely bruise his arm up and she didn’t know what she was doing. It’s 2023 DO BETTER.
