I just finished my fourth donation in two weeks and I’m very pleased with the professional nature of the staff and the expedient process. It’s also a blessing to know I am helping to save lives and I even got paid handsomely for my time! For the first four donations, they pay you $500, which is very useful in economic times like these when gas is $4 a gallon!

I am not happy with the intake procedures at this facility. I was furst turned down for donation due to my heart rate being too Hugh. This was my fault. I drank a Monster Energy Drink that morning not thinking. The second time my heart rate was OK, but during the initial questions during the physical I was asked if I was taking any prescription medications. I replied yes, Diamox and Albuterol. When she asked about what the Diamox was for I told her. Mind you this medication nor the condition it is treating is on any questionnaire or list. She called the physician and because he didn’t know anything about it I was turned down again and told I would have to get a medical release filled out by my prescribing physician. She never asked about the Albuterol or the asthma. I fax the signed medical release back the fallowing day. The physician on staff should have read and flagged it because My physician stated my asthma in the box. This should have been noted. I called the day before I went back again to make sure that their physician had OK’ed me to donate. They said he had. So I make the 30 mile trip back over to donate. I am turned down again when the same nurse as before with blue hair had asked me about the asthma and what I took for it. I told her the same thing as before and then I’m told that I cannot donate because I have used my Albuterol inhaler during the last 7 days. I then ask why she didn’t mention thus during my last visit when she asked me. Instead of waiting until I’d wasted another trip. Her only excuse was, I’m sorry I must have missed it. So, then I asked why the doctor didn’t say anything about it when he looked over my medical release. I informed her that it was ridiculous for them to make me get the release done and then they don’t even look at it good. These questions and medications should be on the list of medications and on questionnaire. I have jumped threw all of their hoops and done everything they have asked only to be turned down for the 3rd time. The first 2 times wasting 3 plus hours of my time. Needless to say, I won’t be wasting my time again.

Very rude and I haven’t been back because they turned my arm purple from constantly raming the needle in and out of my arm and I have excellent veins and never had a problem before they hire just anybody now

Don’t try to call…there’s no reason for them to have a phone because they never answer the phones. I’ve been trying to call them since Friday last week and it’s Wednesday…. I called in the morning and at night. The techs are nice and nothing wrong with the facility; it’s just really unprofessional to have a business line and not have the staff to answer it.

They take their sweet time and are not organized. They expect 1 nurse to do everything.
