My first donation went smoothly. For the past two weeks I’ve been waiting for a pickup and I keep getting they didn’t find 6 large black garbage bags left on the sidewalk of the only building on the street. Very very disappointed.

I donate clothing every year to various charities, but I have rarely been treated more rudely or inappropriately than the way I was treated on the morning of Monday,11/28/22. On Sunday,11/27/22 I called the phone number listed on your website for the White Plains location to confirm you were in fact open, as your website said. The out-going message on each of several tries through the day said you were closed. I called this morning, 11/28/22 and the outgoing message said you were open and I do not need an appointment. Upon arrival I pulled up behind a van and was immediately asked if I have an appointment. I said no and that the outgoing message said I don’t need one. I was then told I should have made an appointment and I will have to wait. I then pointed out that yesterday the outgoing message said you were closed even though the sign on the door says you are open on Sundays. The young lady I was talking to said, ” well, if you had come over you would have seen we were open”. REALLY? Am I REALLY supposed to drive a half hour to see if you are open even though your outgoing message said you were closed? She continued to be outright rude and unappreciative of the fact that I donated over $1,000.00 worth of never worn outer jackets, including a genuine leather and shearling winter jacket. Her response should have been an apology and a promise to make sure that the outgoing messages reflect the reality of whether you are open and whether an appointment is needed. I donate clothing to various charities every year and all I ask for in return is a simple but sincere “thank you”. The treatment I got this morning was absolutely disgusting. I will NEVER again donate to Green Drop.

I had a similar problem as another reviewer. The staff was not very friendly and seemed annoyed that I asked for the bag that I had the items in back. She even seem annoyed when she had asked for my number and it didn’t come up. New protocols should be set into place and enough with the rudeness. I didn’t know you picked your own charity to donate to which doesn’t make sense because they throw everything in one bin. So does it even make it to that specific charity? No. I doubt it.

Always professional, they provide a quick email confirmation of your donation, to charity of your choice. I just wish they stayed open past 5pm. At least one day per week.

I had an used toaster oven to donate and staff was very helpful, just pulled in the lot and they took it from my car trunk. No line on an early afternoon Wednesday which was great. Great to have them in the area, I’ve been there twice and great customer service both times.

Reduce, reuse, recycle to the Nth degree. They will take any new or gently used items and donate them to one of a number of local centers. There, your unused items get a new home, a new life. Convenient location, staffed with friendly and helpful people – this is so much better than throwing away what you no longer want but other people will gladly use.
