Goodwill Industries of Southern NJ & Philadelphia is a nonprofit organization that accepts donations of clothing, accessories, home décor, books, toys, furniture, home medical equipment and much more at donation sites throughout the region. Items are then sold in Goodwill’s thrift stores to value conscious shoppers while contributing to sustainability efforts. Revenues fund job training programs and career services that help individuals with disabilities and disadvantages get to work. Through Goodwill’s Helms Academy, one can earn a high school diploma 100% tuition free.

I feel so bad for the staff. They are all so nice and helpful but they work under the worst conditions. The fitting rooms are always locked cuz the pin pads are always broken. The prices are too high for used items. Dollar days are insane. Have to wait in line for over an hour if you only have a few things in your hands. They should have an express check out for people with a few items. I’ve been stuck behind people with 2 huge cart fills of stuff. Makes me not want to shop there and I rarely do now which is a shame. Again the staff is wonderful and I feel like they deserve better.

My mom was moving out of her home in Toms Ruver after 50 years. Great that this location was blocks away. Made multiple trips over the past 6 weeks and every time, Bill and his team were at the car to meet us immediately. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It made we want to donate more because it was such a great experience. Can’t say enough good things about the people at this location!

What a great experience. I’ve been to other Goodwill locations and always got the feeling I was inconveniencing them. But at this Toms River location, I was greeted the moment I pulled up and given a quick but detailed rundown of how they operate and the dos and don’ts of what they can take which was very informative. They even greeted my dog and gave him a treat. I never leave reviews for anything but this deserved the time.
