I was told I could not donate today because the smell of marijuana on me I offered to let the security guards search my bag and my pockets but it did not matter because they said that because I smell like marijuana I would not be allowed to donate it is their policy even their security guard said he could not smell marijuana on me or my bag but it did not matter I was totally could come back tomorrow after having ridden for almost an hour and 20 minutes on the bus and the worst part was I knew for a fact it was the person in front of me in line because every time they got into their bag the smell came out heavy it’s like they took a look at the two of us because I have tattoos and piercings this smell has to be coming from me I have asked multiple times to be shown the policy where if you smell marijuana you can defer us and they refuse to show it to me I pointed out that on their drug test board they don’t even test for marijuana that doesn’t matter to them I have been coming here to this location for over 2 years the first time I’ve ever heard of anything like this doesn’t matter that I’m a long-term donor. This is not a normal thing at this location like I said in over two years I’ve never seen anything like this. Why don’t they do a little looking into where the smell is coming from instead of just picking someone for what ever reason they decide

Very friendly employees, and usually people that are regulars are in and out quickly. Even if you are a new donor, you’re completely done within about 2 to 3 hours. A lot depends on how many people are already there, and how long it takes a person to actually donate once on the donating floor. Shout out to Cat and Ro!

You’re better off going to another center. Staff is super unprofessional and you wait in line longer than you actually donating.

I had a great experience as my first donation. (Even though the whole process almost took 4 hours).Went again today for my second donation, and then was pulled to the exam room and told that because I made them aware (before I even donated the first time and did fine by the way) that if I were to ever pass out that I would have a seizure, I am now blacklisted from donating at any of their centers. I was then told that they could give me a list of their competitors and just not tell them about that risk and donate there instead.

I actually had an incident happen last year, where I tried to donate on my cycle.. I ended up passing out during donation and nobody noticed until I woke up when the red-blood cells were being returned. I waved them down out of sheer panic and they realized my arm was bent with the needle. I’m upset they didn’t notice I was passed out for however long it took, but they were VERY responsive and empathetic once they realized what happened.

They skip multiple steps to test my blood levels and often lie! My levels are perfectly fine as i often test my own levels before going to give plasma or blood but they proclaimed that ALL of my levels were low despite the fact that a friend of mine who’s a registered nurse confirmed that my levels are indeed perfectly okay before going, *i even went to another plasma donation place after they denied me and there was nothing wrong with my levels at the other plasma donation place!* staff were rude too and when i gave plasma here for the first time they bruised me pretty bad in the arm to the point they had to use my other arm after that, everything else was alright and so far no infections or anything serious but this place is quite unfriendly.. they were even rude to an older woman and immediately assumed she was transgender after she asked for a restroom, jeez! What a bummer this place is! Not coming back nor changing my mind.

Idk, I seem to be a harsh critic of this place…. It’s gone better since then but still worse! Other day this week I came to Donate this younger girl I felt was new and I felt was unsure of what goes where but me not wanting to be an A to Ppl and treating them equal is where it gets me! This Employee proceeds to stick me but I start to feel her fishing around in my Arm then stick it far in there and wiggled around till she decides to get a manager! Another Employee comes up and I’m like W T H!!!! He’s new as well!!! He mentions their’s no vein there anymore or something similar to the young Employee! I’m thinkin uhhhh I’ve been using the same Arm for awhile and their seems to be one their those times but okayyyyy she gets told to restick the other side I was thankful it worked but also thankful she left no bruising!!!!!! Today. It seemed sometimes I get sent home it’s cuz legit reasons but I noticed there had been times I was sent home for little things! I looked at one of the Employees and noticed she really doesn’t seem to like me or hell maybe anyone else but with me when I see her she ALWAYS sends me home when others they are cool and understand things and it’s common sense soooo me being an idiot noticed she sent this guy who had been in line a LONG time to nursing right away and no mercy on her face I still went to her!!!!!!! I’m an idiot! But, first thing she tells me is to take my hat off altho my friend says it raises temps like makes sense but any other time no one mentioned anything so I didn’t get why she told me this as if she’s my teacher! Right away after aggressively damn near taking my finger off tryna get blood into the tube she’s like, oh! Your temps high I looked at it and thought I saw the SAME temp the other day and was let thru it was im in a VERY small confided area with tons of humans breathing in and exhaling out the same dang air and I’m side by side with them! I’m also wearing a dang hat kinda temp…. but to her, it’s an idc kinda attitude like previous confrontations with her in the past! But to get someone to look into my history of being turned away by her and how much times it’s that resting Crab face girl at window 3 today and hardly anyone else, it can’t be coincidental that it’s her a bunch of those times and like basically 1 other person awhile ago and another a year ago!! but that same one employee today whom has the SAME excuses to send me home each time! I hope that if she is intentionally doing this to me and if anyone else being harassed in this manner by her that her bad negativity in life will show her how awful she’s been! Prayers I mean FRFR to girl at window 3 ☮️ A person like that doesn’t get away with stuff like that for too long, riding their high horse cuz they are backed up with their own rules that they tend to make up themselves, at times… rules that other Employees know are dumb, impractical, unrealistic and therefore they tend to play it by ear and VISUALLY monitor the person showing that they actually do CARE and aren’t being jerks to someone for whatever reasons, that their actions and the way they react to them tend to reflect that also! Wish I could give her a shoutout (if it would really matter!) but maybe another might be dealin with similar times with her…. But, I don’t ever notice anyone’s names their, I think they hardly ever have to wear their name tags on shift but if so, can someone look into this I mean my names on here and I mentioned at what window this person worked today Friday the 15th 2023, in case someone cares (shrugs) look at how much times this person has sent me home with the SAME excuse’s… how can it be THAT coincidental EACH TIME that it’s only always her sending me home consistently!?! compared to anyone else!… But the other Employees seem cool.. heck! even their Regular Security Guard that work’s their during the week… I rarely come weekends,, I’ve noticed sometimes Guards at some Businesses aren’t Coo at all so that’s awesome .

I’m a regular donor & I had a horrible experience last week.. the lady(TRACY) who stuck me.. before she did I informed her that my blood squirt! She sticked me my blood squirted & she proceed to put tape on me.. as she did so she kept applying the tape to where it was hurting not to mention the needle was over halfway on my arm! I put my arm up like “wait” I insisted on telling her I didn’t need anymore tape because of the pressure she was causing! I come in today 6/2/23 she has a note that I be deferred ! This place has became so ironic and disrespectful! I honestly feel discriminated against due to my color as I did NOT even touch the lady. Am I not suppose to let her know she’s hurting me? I do NOT recommend Tracy if she’s gonna lie, she stated I grabbed her arm. I’m asking that cameras be viewed cause I NEVER touched her ‼️

Usually, I don’t do this, but I felt it was absolutely necessary in this case. Just recently I was deferred for saying something that may have upset an employee. Not once was I told what had been said. I was told I was getting counseled? I’ve never said anything out of context to anyone, male or female while visiting this center. And if someone took anything, I said out of context, I would have appreciated if it was said there and then. Then when I attempted to go back and donate after being “counseled” I was told I could still donate and then still rejected. When I asked what was so heinous that was said I wasn’t given an answer. Can you imagine getting ridiculed over something you didn’t do? Never in my life did I think something like this would happen to me. Totally embarrassing. A disgusting miss use of power. Never again.
