1st off ALWAYS, Bring your own chair (like a foldable camping chair), and a book to read. There are no chairs while waiting unless it’s for medical.

Yes the initial visit is very long (so plan on 2 1/2- 3 hour wait.) BUT after that it’s been a smooth experience. The place is older looking but clean. I appreciated the effort to constantly wipe down after everything patient. All the staff are very friendly! Your privacy for the initial question and testing is private but when doing the actual donating it’s in an open room where we’re all hooked up to machines like something out of the matrix there was bruising but that’s to be expected. Not painful but if you hate needles this isn’t the place for you

The staff here is all really nice. Very polite, friendly and good at their jobs. This is the 3rd place at which I have donated plasma over the years, and it is very similar to the other two, in the sense that they use all the same equipment, follow all the same rules & guidelines as other donation centers, and provide a valuable service of extracting plasma. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars, was for the same reason that I’ve been disappointed with other plasma donation centers: the lack of a sense of urgency. The work is repetitive, they have customers coming in and out all day, but there is no sense of getting the donor through in a timely manner. If the worker created a small sense of customer empathy, and offered statements like, “we’ll be with you as soon as …” or gave any kind of sense that they are concerned with how much time the whole donation process is taking, this would easily improve the donation experience and get 5 stars. But overall this place is very good, and right on par for a plasma donation center.

I got to CSL Plasma and the first there was nobody at the front desk, but that just means that the workers are helping people come. It did take a little bit of time to get me started like you would if you are a new donor, but they were there to help and make sure that they were doing everything to fix if there was any problems. My process took a little bit longer than I expected, because I had to figure out a few things, but they stuck with me and took care of me, and so it was a wonderful experience from the time I got started with the donating to the end. It was a very quick process and all of the texts were very nice. I would definitely recommend going to CSL plasma in Midvale.

They get a two cuz I went to SLC CSL for a loooong time with no issues. Here the issues never flippin stop it’s not even funny. The first time I came here they were open for 1-1/2 hrs already but no nurse showed up yet so they were kicking everyone out that showed up. Second time they only had one phlebotomist on duty and every single manager was on the floor, stressed out. Now today I go, and they literally took way more plasma than they were supposed to from me!!! Luckily my body handled it well. Midvale location has massive problems and inadequate. Oh by the way they took a full bottle of plasma from me “on accident” but I still only got 47$ I got straight up robbed

Not an awful place, older machines compared to bioLife. But they still work.

Some of the staff are really nice here, but every line you have to wait in takes a ridiculously long time. You can be at the front of the line and still have to wait 15th minutes for the next opening. Essentially makes it double the wait time (at least) of most other plasma centers I’ve been to. Seems like they’re constantly understaffed.

I usually don’t write reviews but this is ridiculous. I’m a new donor and went in yesterday after a semi far travel. I also called multiple times to not get an answer then to show up and be told to come back tomorrow due to lack of staff. I showed up the following morning to be told the exact same thing. “They don’t have enough staff to assist us” there was a couple literally next to me with the exact same experience. Very unprofessional for the company/ management to not even have a pre recording at minimal on their phone, or even a sign , or a set schedule! Completely unacceptable and inconsiderate of people and their time. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Honestly one of the slowest places I’ve been. I got there at 10 as a new donor and left at 3:15. 5 hours to get signed up as a new donor. If they are going to take that long to sign up a new donor they should double the initial payout

Staff are nice but they are very understaffed. They also need to provide chairs for their donors. Setting up an appointment system would be good too. You are constantly just standing all the time until you donate. The wait times are long too. Especially when waiting to donate.
