I was told I would get paid to donate and that I could donate 5 times in a month if I wanted to. I showed up twice to donate with no problem. I came back to donate a third time when I was eligible again. They refused to take me but told me to come back again the next day. Which didn’t make any sense. Why would they turn me away one day but ask me to come back again the next. There wasn’t a line of people waiting to donate at the time. They also refused to offer me any compensation even though I showed up and I was eligible to donate. They just refused to let me donate. I came back again a few days later and again they refused to take me and refused to compensate me. They advertise that you can get paid $100 for your first 5 donations as long as you donate within 30 days. Then they refuse to let you donate so they don’t have to pay you. I drove over 20 minutes to get there and back twice only to not get paid. It wasn’t worth wasting the gas. It’s a complete bait and switch. Not to mention the staff has bad attitudes. They all complain about being there. I understand not everyone likes their job, but it’s uncomfortable hearing these doctors complaining about it the entire time you’re there. The staff is not helpful in anyway. There are a lot of beds and machines that they could be using to speed things up and get people donating faster but they only fill 5-10 beds at a time for people to donate. It’s just bad business practices all around. I’ve been a blood donor for years with the Red Cross and never had issues, never been turned away. This place has not only refused to let me donate they also bruised my arms up. You’d think their doctors had never used a needle on a patient before.

It’s gets worse and worse as I come.. the wait gets longer and longer, the staff seems more concerned with going home than doing the job. There should be no reason that when I come there is no one here and I’m still in line waiting 45 minutes to an hour just to get to the back seating. Just go to Hamilton or find another donation center all together like I’m about to do

7/09/23 Staff are getting real lazy here. Rather look at the line then keep it moving. And you can hear staff saying they don’t want to stick anyone or do this or that. Sad! Used to like coming here But when the staff start to become more lazier then Franklin Mills Malls Location Then it’s time to stop donating or donate something other then plasma. If you don’t like your job and are always in a rush to leave Then find something else.

This review is based on my experience today. The woman who stuck me tonight @ 6:55pm, was more concerned with the donors still coming in the door and holding her back that she did a bad stick… then say ” oh it’s going too slow” continuing to recklessly move the needle around. The girl with her was no better. All they were concerned with was leaving and verbally made it clear, with donors on the floor. Then she ask; if I want a restick.. Um, no thanks! The Manager then comes and give me a lecture on refusing a restick… well, if your staff was professional and cared, then I would not have minded.

Not a bad place. Nice staff. However they really need to make a cutoff at 6 or 630pm for donors to walk in. Place closes at 7pm and people walk in at 650pm.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to meet Jesus/Allah/Budda/Zeus? This could be the opportunity of a lifetime! I used to hear horror stories about this place. Especially about there being so many botch jobs. The first time I went in the girl stuck the needle in wrong and it came out of the skin further up the vein. I bet if the guy next to me did not call over the girl to tell her I was passing out, I probably would have died. They probably would not even notice until they had to play “What’s that smell?” to find my carcass rotting on the bed. This same guy was bleeding out profusely in the lobby when he was done and wrapped up. The second time I went in the girl stuck the needle in my other arm crooked. It was taking blood out but re-injecting it back in sideways into my arm and not the vein. She tried to stick the first arm again but the machine shut down on her. Most of the phlebotomist are inexperienced with less than a few months of working there. The place where they sent my blood for testing took weeks to locate them putting me outside of the promo period. It was the nurse who figured out the issue weeks after. The manager was rude and refused to honor it even though the corporate staff indicated that he was able to do so and should have since the error was on their part. I went there on a referral and neither of us got our referral bonuses even after I called corporate more than a dozen times about it. The place is not very sanitary either. Each time I went in there there were red stains in the cubbies under the bed. They rarely wiped down the beds after patients. The young ladies working there were very nice so that is why I gave it the one star. I would rather take my chances with Dracula than this place again.

I came today to donate plasma and it was fine at first. Front desk was fine and so was the nurse. The lady who took my plasma was very sweet and understanding. My boyfriend came to donate with me and he was nervous so the nurse told the ladies in the donation area to place him next to me. This one staff member, skinny African American girl with a struggling ponytail, sat this annoying lady next to me and when I explained that I had asked to save that seat for my boyfriend, I heard the staff member say “ I didn’t know we had assigned seating”. I didn’t come here for that. If y’all don’t take respectful requests, then just say no. It was only two staff members in the donation area that had a funky attitude. Train your staff to keep their rude comments to themselves. I came here totally respectful for a good cause to HELP those in need. People like that don’t need to be in places like this.

There is a lady that works there she is very nasty to people, she doesn’t even put the blood pressure cuff on right she rushes through her job , and pick and chooses who goes through and who doesn’t. She is very nasty to me and my friends. That go there. Why because she’s not a real NURSE OR QUALIFIED FOR HER JOB. When I come in she grabbed me up and sends me home because my pressure doesn’t meet her standing and my blood count also. She is the not so nice one. The nurse’s are lovely but the one who doesn’t do her job right needs experience to do right.

Last and final time donating at this location. The staff is extremely rude, they treat the donors like they’re unimportant. If it wasn’t for the donors the wouldn’t have jobs, let’s be clear. The donors are there to help. We have jobs, attend school, have family and work just like your unprofessional staff. And I’ve noticed this place is also a revolving door, the professional staff they once had all left. Go figure. I found a more professional CSL plasma location where the staff don’t have their noses stuck in the air, like we owe them something. Respect goes both ways.
