I’m so disappointed. Spent 4 hours filling things, only to be told I dont weigh enough. Test applicants when they come in, not after 2 hours of interviews. I left crying. I have great blood. No drugs. Yet they took crack heads no problem. This is racist wanting you white

First time donating today and the experience was great! Like many I contemplated donating plasma for safety reasons. But after getting thoroughly screened and seeing how buisness is conducted, I’m confident in the staff at CSL Lawton. Building was clean and everyone was friendly. The place does get busy so the earlier in the morning you can go the better! On the first visit you are screened, you conduct a brief physical and they check your blood, you also have some consent forms and a brief video describing the procedure. Then they hand you a debit card that gets money deposited to it everytime you donate. The initial setup for first time donors with took 2.5 hours. But the following donations typically run 1 hour.

They have one of the rudest front desk staff and managers I’ve ever encountered. There are never enough employees so you’ll wait forever. If you have to see the nurse you’ll wait even longer. While I was there the power went out. Employees running around like they don’t know what to do. A line backed up to the door. All the machines shut down and people just sitting looking worried and frustrated. And if you wait in the line to do the check in and then can’t donate for whatever reason you just wasted all that time for nothing. Doesn’t seem to be a procedure when the power goes out. Employees were holding the bags up to return the blood back into everyone’s arms. I hadn’t been hooked up so I just sat there. Complete insanity. Wasted almost 3 hours for nothing. Will never donate here again unless they get new management. They’re losing a lot of donors because it’s run so poorly. Go to the new plasma place instead.

Did not change gloves in between donors. Rude, as in they must hate people. Will never go back though. Next time pay attention to glove changes.

There is no sense of urgency. I understand there is safety and precautions that take place, but they just stand there and talk to each other or the guests about their personal lives. Two of them were talking about how they messed up 13 times today when sticking people.

If there are 3+ people in line you can expect to STAND in line for about 30 minutes AT least.. the rooms to check vitals are ALWAYS empty, there is NEVER more than 2 staff checking vitals. AND not to mention we have to listen to the staff member carrry on unnecessary conversations with the donor and take up a lot of time that could be used to get more people in and out.. once you get passed vitals it’s not so bad but there needs to be more staff members up front checking. kinda ridiculous to stand in one spot for 20 minutes before someone else gets called back. as i stand here making this review i hear them back there talking about nonsense (sounds like the staff member knows the donor and they have been having a conversation everyone can hear for about 15 minutes now instead of wrapping it up and having him leave the vitals check area.

I have a love hate relationship with this place. Sometimes the wait isn’t worth the reward. Some of the employees working there are so nice and very friendly and helpful and others are some of the rudest most hateful people you will meet anywhere.

im a regular donor and it’s usually always a good experience, it’s never a long line im always in and out of there and everyone is always super nice except misty. every time i’ve had misty check my vitals she’s rude and short with me as if im a burden to her day. other than that it’s a great place but i think a manager should talk to her abt her attitude!!!
