Its clean and everyone is generally friendly and as helpful as can be, but ive been there 3 times and my 3rd time was the only time that didn’t involve payment problems or hematomas. Before coming here, I’ve never had a problem with a CSL center. I understand new plebotomists need training, but when i get a trainee to stick me here, I seem to have problems, and most of the staff seems to be trainees. My 3rd visit was the only visit that didnt result in issues, and coincidentally, I had a more experienced phlebotomist set me up on the machine. The machines are also very new and powerful and I have to ask them to turn the pressure down every time (hematomas are pretty scary and painful although not like a big deal or anything to my understanding). Its not the worst plasma donation experience I’ve had, but I get way less anxiety and wait times at the Champaign location. They pay more here, though (about $20 more a week; at time of writing), so take that as you will.

You’re getting paid to donate/help others. Wait times could be a bummer, but everyone is nice and place is very clean. People mad because they have to wait… you’re walking out with more than you came in with. If you could make more by working, then do that and don’t complain lmao.

It took me 3 visits to be seen only to be deferred from donating.

The place is clean and the staff is friendly. However, the wait time is terrible. It’s not necessarily the staff’s fault, but there needs to be more staff in the back where the actual donations are taking place. I was there for almost two hours today and there were only 10 people in front of me when i got in line. I was still 6 in line when i decided to walk out after the two hours I already wasted.
