I was a medic in the military for 9 years. I was told I shouldn’t touch the cuff on my arm, and was deferred for 30 days, because I touched it after it began hurting beyond my ability to stay calm. This was after the cuff was inappropriately placed TWICE. Then I was lied to at the end of my visit by their nurse who told me not to touch the cuff again even after the machine had finished entirely. Its no longer working at that point and the nurse was butt hurt, and retaliated against me for doing something in my best interest at little to no cost to anyone else. They have poor service and shouldn’t be allowed to be doing this under their current supervision. I know garbage when I see it. I intend on reporting to the BBB, because this type of unjust lying and griping about things that aren’t policy to begin with is messed up and deserves nothing but complaints. I’d give a zero if I could.

I had the pleasure of being treated by Nurse Tyler during my recent visit to the hospital, and I cannot praise her enough for her exceptional customer service and care. Despite her youthful appearance, Tyler’s professionalism, knowledge, and compassion far exceeded my expectations.

Registration as a new donor takes a bit of time. Then, as a returning donor, you wait in the vitals line for up to 30 minutes for me so far but it definitely can be longer I’ve seen. There are a lot of donors and I’m glad they’re safe. The donation floor is a bit intense. It seems rushed, but hey not enough people, I get it. But they’re still there to help when you need it. I will continue to give plasma.

If I can give a zero star I would I went for my first donation. The nurse stuck me wrong as a natural reaction. I jumped and moved her arm away from me. The lady said that she felt threatened, which she shouldn’t have considering I reassured her that it was fine. I even have cleaned up my own blood. I never got escorted out of the premises. I thought everything was fine. They told me that my next donation, which was. two days from February 14 I ended up going back on the 19th because I wanted the bruising on my arm to heal. Once I went back I was notified by the manager that the lady said that she felt threatened and she put me on the do not register list for that location only but once I went to another location in Calumet Park, I was told due to the comments that the manager put on my fail I’m unable to donate period I ask if I can get a copy of the video for my own proof and I was refuse. I was told that I don’t have a lawyer, which is not any of you guys business, but it is a defamation of character. I called the corporate office they said that they didn’t want to lose me as a donor, but they refuse to help me with my situation.

It’s been while since I’ve been, but the place was really clean. Had a good atmosphere. Staff was polite. Only thing I wish is that they told you that there is a weight capacity in order to donate. I found answers to all my questions on the website except the weight guidelines. So call before you go. I drove almost an hour went through all the pre screening that took about an hour, just to be told I couldn’t because of my weight. Other than that I had no other issues.

I am very dissatisfied, with the service that I received today October 10, 2021. I was at the facility from 9:30 AM completed the entire process to only find out from Beau A.k.a. the medical professional at 11:11 am that I was unable to complete or donate plasma because of two mosquito bites. The staff needs to be better trained and better informed in order to assist the customers so they are not wasting their time. The video does not explain to you that mosquito bites they consider Bruising. I would highly discourage the Hazel crest facility even though it is a well established location for the following reasons.
