Normally they’re pretty good about inserting the needle. Today I went in and had to switch arms because the needle was put in weird the first time. As you can see from the pictures below one arm the needle puncture is bruised and the other looks fine. This happened because the person who was putting a needle in my arm must have been new and pulled it out and put it back in a good five or six times. I still will come to this location because I like the staff and it’s pretty clean. I think that you guys should look into training your new employees better when it comes to putting the needle in clients arms. This will make it more likely for people to come back next time and visit this location. This experience almost made me not want to come back at all. Not because the staff is bad not because I blame the new person but because that much discomfort is not worth the money

unorganized, dirty, unintelligent workers, this place is a joke. called today AFTER 4p and was was told as new returning donor i was allowed to come in. only to get there not even 20 mins later and asked to come back another day and was told i was wrong. well SOMEONE gave me wrong information and now i can save any lives today. sad sad sad place

I’ve been donating at CSL for years in St. Paul and have always had a great experience. The minneapolis location has a bad reputation but I usually get through the first two lines at a moderate pace. All my life I’ve been told I have good veins but since going to this location I have been having issues. One of the staff went through my vein , I’ve had that fluid back up , bleeding during. Very strange. Then today I had a bad experience with the AM Ahmed. After switching locations my original red card did not get the money on it so they gave me a new card in Minneapolis a blue one I figured new location new system new card. I misplaced my card a few weeks ago but figured I just had to pick up a new card in the location but today I was told by the AM Ahmed the new card I got in Minneapolis was my replacement card and I would have to order a new one which would take 7 to 10 days to arrive. I explained my circumstances that I actually need my card to access cash to get a hotel for myself and my children tonight and pleaded that there was something he could do. I was dismissed and told to speak to the manager the following day as he walked away. Surely no one at csl is responsible for the card lost however the lack of empathy or help or basic human concern for my situation was disheartening and dehumanizing to say the least. I called two different locations spoke to the managers and I know for a fact that if he wanted he could have issued me a new card so I could access the funds so my kids could have a safe place to stay tonight.

This place is a great place to go. I had the nicest lady named Sarah do my vitals, and she did such a great job of making me feel welcomed, valued, and I really felt like she cared. You can tell she loves what she does. I live in Burnsville but I try to come to the Minneapolis location because I love the atmosphere. Thanks CSL and most of all, thank you Sarah for being such a wonderful person!

Entirely understaffed at jam packed moments throughout the day. Took me over an hour and a half to get through line today. Not too sure what’s going on but it sucks. 6 screening booths with only 1 open doesn’t add up to me. It is nice to contribute and there are a few really hard working and polite/respectful employees here that make the sometimes excruciating wait times worth it.
